Broadway's MOTHERS AND SONS to Display AIDS Memorial Quilt at Golden Theatre

The new Broadway play Mothers and Sons from 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally and starring Tony Award and six-time Emmy Award winner Tyne Daly is proud to announce that portions of The AIDS Memorial Quilt are now on display in the lower lobby of the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), where the critically-acclaimed play currently resides. The Quilt, fittingly, is prominently referenced during the course of the 90-minute play, making its residency inside the theater especially poignant. Audience members of Mothers and Sons are encouraged to view the quilt before or after any performance. The quilt will be on display for the entirety of the run of Mothers and Sons. Co-Hosts Judith Light and Christopher Sieber announced the nominations for the 2014 Drama League Awards, including Distinguished Production of a Play, Distinguished Production of a Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Revival of a Musical, and the much coveted Distinguished Performance Award. The 2014 Drama League Nomination announcement begins the month of celebrations leading up to the 80th Annual Drama League Awards, which will be held at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway) on Friday, May 16, 2014 at noon hosted by Broadway veteran Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Valour! Compassion!; Bad Habits; Lips Together, Teeth Apart; Dedication or the Stuff of Dreams; and the film version of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. The Film Society of Lincoln Center has announced today a one-night-only event, From Screen to Stage: Bullets Over Broadway, on Monday, May 5 at 6:30PM. The evening will include a screening of an archival print of Woody Allen's rollicking Oscar-winning jazz-age ensemble comedy Bullets Over Broadway, followed by a conversation with five-time Tony-winning director/choreographer Susan Stroman and lead producers Letty Aronson and Julian Schlossberg. Breaking: ROCKY Original Broadway Cast Recording Gets May Release; Track List Revealed

Universal Music Enterprises, Stage Entertainment USA, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Sylvester Stallone announced today the forthcoming release of the new original Broadway cast recording of ROCKY, on May 27th, 2014 (UMe). ROCKY has an original score by the Tony Award-winning team Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Once On This Island), who are the album's producers; additionally the score incorporates the iconic songs 'Eye Of The Tiger' and 'Gonna Fly Now.' The musical, which opened Thursday, March 13th at the historic Winter Garden Theatre, stars Andy Karl as Rocky, Margo Seibert as Adrian (making her Broadway debut), Terence Archie as Apollo Creed and features a superb ensemble. Producers Letty Aronson and Julian Schlossberg today announced a General Rush policy for preview performances of BULLETS OVER BROADWAY. For each preview, a limited number of orchestra Rush tickets will be available each morning when the box office opens at 10 AM. The new Broadway play Mothers and Sons from 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally will offer a one-night-only special ticket price of $30 for patrons under the age of 30 for the Friday, March 14th performance of the show at 8PM. Ticket quantities are limited and must be purchased in person at the Golden Theatre box office at 252 West 45th Street during normal box office hours. Limit one ticket per patron with a valid ID.
