Acclaimed theater company Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced it will present its popular benefit evening STORIES ON 5 STORIES Monday, November 1.

Vassar & New York Stage and Film's Powerhouse Theater is pleased to announce the casts of the six final readings for the 2010 season, including new works by Eve Ensler, Romulus Linney & Eleanor Cooney, Steven Sater & Duncan Sheik, Kate Walbert, Patricia Wettig, and Jennifer Westfeldt (screenplay), as well as a special workshop based on Walton Jones' 1940's RADIO HOUR, directed by Mark Linn-Baker.

The South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) presents SMALL TOWN, BIG TALENT, an all-day, star-filled celebration to benefit SOPAC, to honor the South Orange/Maplewood community and its contribution to the arts. MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director; Blake West, Executive Director) presents Beth Henley's Family Week, directed by Jonathan Demme. Performances of the four person play began at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on April 9 and continue through May 23, 2010.

MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director; Blake West, Executive Director) today announced that they are delaying the official press opening of Beth Henley's Family Week, directed by Jonathan Demme by one week. The production will now officially open on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

On Monday, April 19, the stars came out to celebrate the 11th Anniversary of WET Productions, a non-profit dedicated to empowering women in the arts and media, at their Love Gala. Love was a one night only benefit performance of short plays on love, written by some of the hottest women writers in film, theater and TV and performed by celebrated actors. WETs notorious annual Gala followed the presentation. BroadwayWorld was there for the celebration.

The Public Theater held the opening night of Suzan-Lori Parks' new play, THE BOOK OF GRACE, on March 16th. THE BOOK OF GRACE weaves the story of three people bound together by love and longing, passion and ambition.

Performances of the four person play begin at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on April 9 and continue through May 23, 2010. Opening night is set for Monday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m.

Award-winning actress KATHLEEN CHALFANT co-stars in the film 'THE LAST NEW YORKER' opening February 19th in NYC. Directed by Harvey Wang, the film also stars Dominic Chianese (Uncle Junior, The Sopranos) and Tony Award winner Dick Latessa (Hairspray).
