Max has just released the first full trailer for Season 3 of the highly acclaimed comedy series Hacks. A year after parting, Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) is riding high off the success of her standup special while Ava (Hannah Einbinder) pursues new opportunities back in Los Angeles. The nine-episode season debuts with two episodes, followed by two new episodes each week, concluding with the season finale on May 30. Watch the trailer here!

Max's hit comedy series Hacks is returning this Spring. The series follows the evolving dynamic between legendary Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and her young, entitled writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder).

On Friday, March 3rd, PFLAG celebrated 50 years of leading with love at a spectacular gala event in the city where it all started. The iconic organization—best known for supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people, parents, families and allies—was founded in March 1973. HACKS stars Jean Smart, Hannah Einbinder, Carl Clemons-Hopkins and Jane Adams, who were all nominated for Emmys® for the first season. Cast members Christopher McDonald, Kaitlin Olson, Paul W. Downs, Poppy Liu, Rose Abdoo, Mark Indelicato, Meg Stalter, Angela E. Gibbs, Luenell, Johnny Sibilly, Joe Mande, Ally Maki and Lorenza Izzo also star.

Jean Smart, Emmy, SAG Awards and Critics Choice Awards winner for her performance in season one of the series, will return along with Hannah Einbinder, Carl Clemons-Hopkins and Jane Adams. Laurie Metclafe, Christopher McDonald, Kaitlin Olson, Paul W. Downs, Poppy Liu, Rose Abdoo, Mark Indelicato, Meg Stalter, and Angela E. Gibbs will also appear.

New Yorker hailed the series as “bracingly fresh and wholly original” while Variety noted it was “destined to be a zeitgeist hit.” 

The series is created and showrun by Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky.
