The brilliant Klea Blackhurst repeated her starring role as the saucy, wisecracking housemaid Hazel in a new musical based on Ted Key's cartoon character Hazel - best known for the 1961-66 TV sitcom of the same name. Titled 'Hazel: A Musical Maid in America', the four Lab Workshop performances were May 28 and 29 at the Lyric Theatre Performance Space in Times Square. Surprise! This brand new, non-equity national tour of GUYS AND DOLLS---currently onstage at Orange County's Segerstrom Center for the Arts for a limited week-long run through April 19---is a winning, nicely-nicely done charmer. Of course, it helps a lot that this traveling production comes equipped with Broadway-caliber sets and costumes and, most satisfying of all, a really talented, engaging ensemble cast.

The colorful characters of Charles Dickens' classic 'Oliver Twist' come brilliantly to life in Victorian London. This beloved musical tells the tale of the orphan boy who is swept into a band of pickpockets; the Artful Dodger, the menacing Bill Sikes, the kind-hearted Nancy, all led by the wily Fagin.The sensational, Tony award winning, score is full of Lionel Bart's irresistible songs including 'Food Glorious Food', 'Consider Yourself', 'I'd Do Anything', 'Oom Pah Pah', 'As Long As He Needs Me' and many more. The Festival opens tonight with the New York premiere of Moonlight & Love Songs written by Scott C. Sickles and directed by Steven Petrillo. Check out a first look at the production below!

GAYFEST NYC, Inc. (Bruce Robert Harris and Jack W. Batman, Producers; Craig Wesley Divino,Associate Producer), the country's premier producer of new LGBT-themed plays, will present the Fifth Festival of Plays, a four-week event filled with powerful theatre works spotlighting gay issues. The Festival opens with New York premiere of Moonlight and Love Songswritten by Scott C. Sickles. Directed by Steven Petrillo, the 7-member cast features Nick Bailey, D.H. Johnson, Kathryn Markey, Gerald McCullouch, Robert Meksin, Corey Richmond Skaggs and Christine Verleny. Performances begin Thursday, May 23 and will continue through Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex (312 West 36th Street). Opening night is Friday, May 24, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds from GAYFEST NYC benefit the Harvey Milk High School.

This production is directed and choreographed by Richard Stafford with musical direction by Leo P. Carusone.
