The Bluegrass line-up continues the Emelin's 28-year tradition of presenting the very best the genre has to offer and the Folk series presents both legendary mainstays and hot up-and-comers. The new Blues series features three performances that highlight the divers range the genre has to offer.

Tennessee Repertory Theatre will launch its 25th anniversary celebration with Nashville Scenes on Wednesday, July 29, from 6 to 8 p.m.(CDT) at The Acorn restaurant, 114 28th Avenue North.

Tickets go on sale Friday, February 20, 2009. Originally making his mark in the county music world and then slipping into the Latin and jazz arenas via rock & roll, Raul Malo has proven to be an ever-expanding musical talent. As front man for The Mavericks from 1989 - 2001, Malo picked up a 1996 Grammy award and multiple Country Music Association awards. He released his first solo album, Today, in 2001.

Most recently Swindley has premiered three new musicals, STEP INTO MY PARLOR (Tulsa, OK), SUMMER OF '66 (Myrtle Beach, SC), and SWINGSTEP (Toronto, Canada). SWINGSTEP was nominated for the Best Musical award in Canada, (comparable to the Tony awards in America.) Swindley also directed THE HONKY TONK ANGELS and STEP INTO MY PARLOR at the Picolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC.
