This November, after five years of ongoing renovations, the popular Upper West Side performance space the Triad Theater (158 West 72nd Street) will officially re-launch as STAGE 72 as a part of the New York Comedy Festival, which will include performances and appearances by Susie Essman, David Steinberg, Meredith Vieira, two special editions of Celebrity Autobiography featuring Janeane Garofalo, Tony Danza, Mario Cantone, Oscar-nominee Jennifer Tilly, SNL alum Rachel Dratch, and more.

The Town Hall, New York City's landmark theatre and concert venue (123 West 43rd Street) honors two influential individuals: Dr. Charlotte K Frank, Senior Vice President of McGraw Hill and Chair of the Town Hall Arts and Education Committee, and Marvin Leffler, in recognition of 34 years as President of The Town Hall. They will receive The Town Hall's 'Friend of the Arts' Award on Sunday, October 21st, 2012.

CATCH ME IF YOU CAN started its U.S. Tour in Providence Rhode Island this week. As the tour begins, there are many cities along the way they will stop in. Merritt David Janes, who plays the role of Carl Hanratty, is looking forward to a return visit to San Antonio as one of the early stops on this brand new tour. The New York Comedy Festival (NYCF), in association with COMEDY CENTRAL, has announced more than 70 additional shows taking place at more than 25 venues throughout New York City, now added to its 2012 schedule, highlighted by two events in partnership with The Paley Center for Media: a reunion of the creative minds behind the landmark TV series The Ben Stiller Show and a Conversation with Denis Leary in celebration of his new publication Merry F***in' Christmas.

The palimpsestic Series, curated by Oscar Noriega, presents "Angles of Repose" featuring Mat Maneri, Viola, Drew Gress, Bass, Lucian Ban, Piano and Randy Peterson, drums, October 24, 8pm at Barbes, Park Slope Brooklyn. Angles, always presented as a quartet led by Maneri and Ban, will be presenting new music for this performance.
