The Cumberland Theatre will continue their 35th Main Stage Season with the tour-de-force comedy PERFECT WEDDING, which will run June 8th - 18th.

Headlines are getting more concerning by the day and the world continues to stay on high alert due to the global pandemic – what can one do to escape? Well, I always say laughter is the best medicine, so taking in Osceola Arts’ latest production – Marc Camoletti and Robin Hawdon’s hilarious farce, DON’T DRESS FOR DINNER – was just what I needed to forget my woes and try and keep up with the fast paced marital treachery and hilarious mix ups happening on stage in Kissimmee.

Osceola Arts will open the new year with the stage comedy Don’t Dress for Dinner. Beginning Friday, January 21st and running through Sunday, February 6th, the Osceola Arts Main Stage will host this French farce, written by Marc Camoletti and adapted by Robin Hawdon.

Fairfield Halls in Croydon- one of the biggest arts centres in the UK, the largest in South London, and the largest multi-disciplinary arts and entertainment space in South London and the South East a?" will be offering an exciting new season of shows and events in the first half of 2020, including an eclectic mix of theatre, music, comedy and family entertainment. Croydon has just been named the London Borough of Culture 2023, and the venue will work closely with the council in producing a varied programme that inspires and includes local communities that shows 'This is Croydon'.

Revenge is touring the UK until 28th March.

Coventry audiences will be among the first to experience a brand new on-stage thriller when Robin Hawdon's Revenge comes to the Belgrade Theatre next month.

Louise Jameson (EastEnders, Doctor Who, Bergerac) will direct a new stage production of Robin Hawdon's suspense-filled thriller Revenge. The play opens at Greenwich Theatre, London, on 6th February before touring the UK. There will be a national press night on Thursday 6th February.

Venturing around the corner from the larger Palace stage in downtown Georgetown, a quaint new black box theatre sits catering to plays of a different scale but with equal gusto. DON'T DRESS FOR DINNER written by Robin Hawdon & Marc Camoletti, boasts a cast of 6 performers confusing themselves and each other during one raucous night in an English Village. Bernard (played by Jake Maspero) is married to Jacqueline (played by Beth Burroughs), who is sleeping with his best friend Robert (played by Clint Cox). In an evening that begins with Jacqueline cancelling her plans away to spend time with her lover Robert, Bernard's true intentions are quickly known as he had invited his lover Suzanne (played by Marsha Sray) to spend the evening with him. The caterer Suzette (played by Lorri Boyd) is quickly confused by Robert as Bernard's lover, forcing the real mistress Suzanne to prepare the evenings meal. The stew simmering offstage could not possibly thicken to the size of scandal and plot unfolding through Act I. Combining a fish-out-of-water comedy with a situational mess, our characters navigate an evening of surprise information, heavy drinking and of course, hilarity.

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to see Ankeny Community Theatre's sizzling production of Cole Porter's "Kiss Me, Kate." Ankeny has done a great job getting the word out about this production. The tickets are hot and sold out for both the performance I was at on Saturday as well the matinee on Sunday. Not only is this production one of the hottest tickets in town, it also has amazing performances that transcend the material.

Bernard has it all - a wonderful old country house, a lovely, devoted wife, a loyal best friend, and a gorgeous mistress. But this enviable life is about to get turned completely upside-down, in Robin Hawdon's adaptation of Marc Camoletti's madcap farce, Don't Dress for Dinner, beginning a 5-week run at Stage West beginning Thursday, July 12.

Raleigh Little Theatre's Don't Dress for Dinner is a comic romp about marriage, infidelity, and alibis gone awry. Bernard (Rob Jenkins) is planning a romantic weekend with his mistress (A.C. Donohue) in his charming converted French farmhouse, while his wife, Jacqueline (Jenny Anglum), is away. He has arranged for a Cordon Bleu cook (Tara Nicole Williams) to prepare dinner and has invited his best friend Robert (Michael Parker), along to provide a cover story. What ensues is a French farce that at times borders on the ridiculous but is sustained by the comic timing of the cast who masterfully work their way through the rhythm of Marc Camoletti's wordy script. Jenkins and Parker channel their inner Laurel and Hardy as the bumbling Bernard and affected Robert, while the over-the-top performances and physical comedy of Donohue, Anglum, and Williams are on point for this type of material. Runs through June 24th at Raleigh Little Theatre.

Lantern Theater Company concludes its record-smashing 2017/18 season with the regional premiere of Don't Dress for Dinner by French playwright Marc Camoletti. Lantern Resident Director Kathryn MacMillan will direct a cast that includes some of Philadelphia's finest comedic actors: Chris Anthony, Jessica Bedford, Marc LeVasseur, Lee Minora, Karen Peakes, and William Zielinski.
