Dallas Theater Center to Present SHERLOCK HOLMES: THE FINAL ADVENTURE, Starring Chamblee Ferguson, 4/25-5/25

Dallas Theater Center brings the world's greatest detective to the stage in Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure, written by Steven Dietz and directed by DTC Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty. Audiences will be thrilled by Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure, which is based on the original 1899 play by William Gillette and Arthur Conan Doyle and opens in previews on April 25 with a Pay-What-You-Can performance and runs through May 25 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre. Working Theater, in its 29th season off-Broadway, will continue its current exploration of the face of poverty in America, with James McManus' Princess Grace Award-winning play, CHERRY SMOKE. The play is a brutal love story that details the irrational hope of four destitute young people, all stretching to grasp the American dream. SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK might have closed on Broadway, but its drama continues. The New York Times reports that Daniel Curry, who was injured in August while performing in the musical, filed a lawsuit this week against the show's producers, engineering consultants and others, pointing to the "negligence in the design and operation of a mechanical lift that Mr. Curry was using onstage when he was hurt." SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark announced today that the Smithsonian Institution is inducting the Spider-Man costume worn by its original star, Reeve Carney, into the permanent collection of its National Museum of American History in Washington D.C.
