The Madison Square Garden Company will unveil a fully transformed Madison Square Garden Arena today, October 24 at 11:00 a.m., marking the completion of its unprecedented $1 billion, three-year, top-to-bottom project. With the Transformation of the Garden, which began in 2011 and included three offseason shutdowns in 2011, 2012 and 2013, the most storied and historic arena in the world is now also a fully state-of-art sports and entertainment venue - a powerful combination that will ensure its position as The World's Most Famous Arena for generations to come.

On Oct. 2, Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre's production of Neil Simon's 'The Sunshine Boys' with Danny DeVito and Judd Hirsch celebrated its opening. The show will continue through November 3, 2013. In addition to starring in Cartoon Network's Oct. 6 world television premiere (6 p.m. ET/PT) of CONTEST, a film about bullying, teen actors Kenton Duty, Katherine McNamara and Alex Boniello also wrote & performed original songs for the film's soundtrack, now available on iTunes.

'Humor Abuse,' the hilarious and heartfelt story of growing up in the circus, opened last night, September 21 at 8 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum. Performances of the Obie, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Lucille Lortel Award-winning play continue through November 3, 2013. (Previews are September 17 through 20.) In recognition of National Bullying Prevention Month (October) and its ongoing commitment to bullying prevention through Stop Bullying: Speak Up, Cartoon Network will present the world television premiere of CONTEST, a new, feature-length live-action movie drama, on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 6 p.m. (ET/PT). Featuring a cast of rising young actors from popular television series and movies, CONTEST (rated TV-PG-LV) explores themes of trust, forgiveness, loyalty and redemption presented in a story about a bully who learns to appreciate and understand others not like himself, and a victim who accepts that true friendship can result from unlikely circumstances. The television premiere event will be followed immediately with a live online Q&A at StopBullyingSpeakUp.com with author and family expert Rosalind Wiseman (Masterminds & Wingmen, Queen Bees & Wannabes) to discuss issues presented within the film, and recommendations on how kids, parents and educators can most effectively address bullying in their own schools & neighborhoods.

For the second year in a row, the UH School of Theatre & Dance has been named 'Best College Theater' in the Houston Press' Theater Awards. Faculty and students will accept this honor during the official awards ceremony Aug. 26 at Phoenicia MKT Bar (located in downtown Houston).

NETworks Presentations LLC's Founder and CEO Kenneth Gentry has just announced the addition of Orin Wolf to its executive staff. Effective July 1, 2013, Orin will join the company as President, with co-founder Scott W. Jackson serving as Chief Operating Officer and co-founder Seth Wenig as Executive Vice President - Production. Gentry will continue as Chief Executive Officer.

Robert Wuhl's long stint in show business began at the University of Houston. The actor/director/writer/producer began entertaining audiences as a student in UH's School of Theatre & Dance (SOTD). Now, he's ready to return to his alma mater to begin a new phase in his career.

The choices I have made are based solely on the plays and performances that I actually saw. I cannot see all the great talent that is out there in LA; it is physically impossible, as there exist far too many theatre/cabaret performances for one person to cover. So if a choice of yours is not on my list, chances are, I did not see that play or performance...or, it just did not make the final cut. I also do not separate Equity from Equity waiver; I consider all the productions/performances I select to be of top-of-the-line quality/professionalism.
