On February 18 and 19, The Tank, an Off-Off Broadway theatre in New York City, will feature a limited engagement run of a very unique show, IWATTAU. IWATTAU is a part of a project created by Film Lab President, actor Jennifer Betit Yen, to address xenophobia and create non-polarized dialogue through the arts.

THE FOOL'S LEAR Comes To IRT Theater In January

IRT Theater is thrilled to present the Oldest Boys Productions in association with Accidental Repertory Theater (John Strasberg, Artistic Director) production of THE FOOL'S LEAR, with text from William Shakespeare's King Lear, adapted and directed by H. Clark Kee. THE FOOL'S LEAR begins performances on Wednesday, January 9 for a limited engagement through Saturday, January 26. Press Opening is Friday, January 11 at 7:30 PM. The performance schedule is Wednesday - Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 3 PM; with added matinee performances on Saturday 1/19 and 1/26 at 2 PM. Performances are at the IRT Theater (154 Christopher Street, between Washington and Greenwich Streets, near the 1 and 2 trains at Christopher Street Station, and the A, B, C, D, and E at West 4th). The Cell Presents Workshop Reading Of Sandra A. Daley-Sharif's STRADDLING THE EDGE

Nancy Manocherian's the cell (Artistic Director Kira Simring) in Chelsea, New York City has announced Sandra A. Daley-Sharif's play Straddling the Edge as part of the cell's ongoing residency series. Artistic Director Kira Simring will direct and features Almeria Campbell, Jacqueline Gregg, Nathan Hinton, Justin Jorrell, Travis Raeburn and Robert McKay. Perri Gaffney will read stage directions.

This production connects Civic Ensemble's focus on community-based work by women and people of color with the Kitchen's two decades of producing bold, intimate work that starts 'important conversations.' Previews are today, June 11 and June 12 & 13, opening night is June 14, and the play closes on June 29.
