Colorado Music Festival presents its 2024 summer concert season of orchestral and chamber music, featuring guest artists and premieres of new music. The festival runs from July 5 to August 4 in Boulder, Colorado.

Dinnerstein, who is heralded for her distinctive musical voice and her commitment to sharing classical music with everyone, will perform a program with violinist Tim Fain that includes Suite from The Hours and Pendulum by Philip Glass, as well as Beethoven's “Kreutzer” Sonata.

The Philly POPS announced today that the 2022 kick-off of its popular Salute Series, Comcast NBCUniversal Memorial Salute, will take the stage on May 27, 2022 at 7 p.m at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts. On Friday, June 3, 2022, violinist Itamar Zorman will release a new album Violin Odyssey on First Hand Records. Born out of Zorman's 2020 live-streamed video series Hidden Gems, the album is a virtual voyage around the world that yielded the discovery of many lesser known and rarely played works for violin.

The Colorado Music Festival (CMF) in Boulder, Colorado, isn't broadly known outside the state, but it should be. This summer, under the leadership of the recently arrived Music Director Peter Oundjian, the Festival will actually present more 21st-century pieces (16, including two world premieres) than works by Beethoven (13). That reflects Oundjian's commitment to presenting the work of living composers as well as music by masters of the canon. This is the first year of the Festival's five-year commitment to commissioning new works and presenting them in Boulder.

Jon Robertson, dean of Lynn University Conservatory of Music and Philharmonia guest conductor, today invited fans of classical music to 18 performances during March and April, including a three-show presentation of the Lerner & Loewe hit musical Gigi.

The Cleveland Institute of Music announced yesterday that acclaimed conductor, composer and educator Michael Tilson Thomas will be awarded an honorary doctorate at the school's 95th Commencement Ceremony in Kulas Hall on Saturday, May 16 at 10am EDT. Attendance is by invitation only, but a live stream will be available via cim.edu. Yesterday's announcement was given at a special MTT-led rehearsal of the CIM Orchestra at Severance Hall, home of The Cleveland Orchestra, which MTT also conducts February 20-23.
