After a series of four sold out concerts at the Union Theatre between 2016 and 2018,  Robert Gould will return to present another evening of songs with his lyrics,  “Perfect Imperfection”, on Sunday November 6 at 7.30pm.

The Boston Pops has announced details for the 2022 Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, which returns to the stage of the Hatch Shell at the Charles River Esplanade for the first time since 2019. The performance will take place on Monday, July 4, 8-11 p.m.

Huntington Theatre Company announces the launch of seven additional titles to its series of short audio plays entitled Dream Boston. Four plays were announced in July, and the next seven will be released over subsequent weeks this fall. Epic in scale and intimate in its emotional intensity and with a soaring and lavish score, 'Cleopatra' The Musical focuses on the character of the infamous Queen of ancient Egypt and the conflict between her desire for power and her need to be loved as well as on the dramatic political and war-torn background of the times and the tragedy of the two men (Julius Caesar and Mark Antony) who were doomed by their love for her.

The Court Martial of Almirante Montojo historical courtroom drama takes off from US Admiral George Dewey's 1913 Scribner autobiography where he said he came to the courtroom defense of Spanish Contraalmirante Patricio Montojo after his victory in Manila Bay on 1 May 1898 one hundred and twenty years ago.

After sold out shows in April 2018 and May 2017, lyricist Robert Gould will return to the Union Theatre at 7.30pm on October 21 with A LONELY VOICE, a concert of songs with his lyrics performed by a cast of West End and Off-West End musical theatre performers (from the casts of shows such as Tina The Musical, Little Shop Of Horrors and Wicked). The concert will feature a showcase of songs from "Cleopatra", a brand new musical-in-development by Robert Gould and Lyndon Samuel, as well as an eclectic mix of musical theatre, indie pop and folk/rock numbers with music penned by composers from the UK, USA, Sweden, Israel and the Netherlands, including Tristan Bons, Alex James Ellison, Alexander Engstrom, Dean Heller, Ty Kroll, Omri Lahav, Ben Messenger, Christopher J. Orton, Joe Sterling, Dylan Wynford and Bo Wastesson. (a composer from Sweden, whose works include the musicals "The Brothers Lionheart", "The Blacksmith's Daughter" and "Gerda")

The acclaimed male vocal group The Flyboys will make their Edinburgh Fringe debut this year when they perform their fusion act of vintage and modern music in four part harmony nightly at the Gilded Balloon's Rose Theatre (Main Theatre) from August 1 to August 24 at 10.30pm. The Flyboys brand of swing re-imagined has been described as "if Sinatra formed a band with Bruno Mars" or "a night where Pharrell Williams croons with Judy Garland, Ricky Martin scats with Cab Calloway and Maroon 5 groove with Ella Fitzgerald."

This afternoon the winners of the Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year and Stiles + Drewe Prize were announced at the 12th anniversary West End Gala at the Savoy Theatre which was hosted Olivier Award winner Tracie Bennett.
