CORRECTIVE MEASURES is the story of an everyman’s journey into darkness, as the actions the guards and staff are forced to take at the prison slowly render them no better than the men and women at the prison. The film also stars Tom Cavanagh (The Flash), Kat Ruston (The 100), Kevin Zegers (Rebel), and Hayley Sales (Deadpool 2).

Rapp is thrilled to return to Oxford where she lived for a couple of years in the mid 90s to study short story writing before moving back to Los Angeles to write movies for Robert Altman. Two years later her movie, Cookie’s Fortune, a Mississippi comedy, was directed and produced by Altman and filmed in Holly Springs, Mississippi.    

At long last, Hedwig comes to Diversionary! This iconic musical is an integral part of the LGBT theater canon and truly rocked the musical form when it debuted Off Broadway 20 years ago. It has since been made into a movie, enjoyed productions all over the world, and had its Broadway debut starring Neil Patrick Harris, winning the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. Our 20th anniversary production will find a thrilling new aesthetic and a renewed authenticity as we conclude a nationwide casting search for the right gender non-binary performer to fill Hedwig's boots! Get ready to rock!

Little Elliott and his charming extraterrestrial friend hurry on a bike through a bleak forest at dusk. Time is their enemy but the boy has to stop because of the increasingly bumpy road. Suddenly, the bike rushes forward as if it was possessed by some magic force, and despite Elliott's vocal protests it rides fiercelly toward a cliff, then falls off it, only to ascend like a wingless bird a second later. In the background, we can hear the inspirational John Williams's theme while the little man and even smaller alien fly over the treetops, admiring the world that stretches beneath them. The boy's face is radiant with a mix of fascination and utter disbelief in what he sees. At the same time, the sequence's atmosphere, infused with a profundity of a child's limitless imagination, spreads to the viewer watching with admiration as the silhouettes of Steven Spielberg's E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial's protagonists roam over the air against the backdrop of a gigantic moon. A few moments later Elliott's excitement is replaced by soreness of his limbs when the bike hits the ground, but those seconds of celluloid magic stay with the viewers for many years. This is but one of hundreds of examples of the imaginative work done by Carol Littleton, this year's recipient of Camerimage Award to Editor with Unique Visual Sensitivity.

The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati will take audiences "up, up and away" with a SUPER season opener when they present SUPERMAN October 6-15, 2018 at the Taft Theatre.

SUPERMAN is the tale of Superman's efforts to defeat a vengeful scientist, the new villain Dr. Abner Sedgwick, who seeks to destroy the world's symbol of good. In this premiere adaptation of the 1966 musical, It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman, this TYA-friendly musical will be sure to soar up, up and away into the hearts of all children and the young at heart.

New subscriptions to the 2018-2019 Children's Theatre of Cincinnati MainStage season at the Taft Theatre will be available starting today, Monday, June 4, 2018.  Subscriptions range from $43 to $103 for all four productions.  Single tickets go on sale August 31.

The Motion Picture Editors Guild (MPEG) will honor veteran sound re-recording mixer Lee Dichter, CAS, with its prestigious Fellowship and Service Award. This is the first time the award ceremony will be held on the East Coast at The Sheraton New York at Times Square on October 20, 2018.
