Young People's Theatre has announced that the musical James and the Giant Peach has just been held over for a second time due to overwhelming audience demand. YPT is extending their special ?Holiday schedule which will now include performances at 11am and 2pm on most days from December 26 to January 4. Let your heart be light, and have yourself a Meet Me in St. Louis Christmas, live, on stage at Stoneham Theatre. Performances run from November 28-December 28, 2014. Written by Hugh Wheeler, this musical is based on 'The Kensington Stories' by Sally Benson, and the MGM motion picture Meet Me in St. Louis starring Judy Garland. The songs are composed by Hugh Martin & Ralph Blaine, published by EMI Feist Catalog, and produced for the Broadway stage by Brickhill-Burke Productions, Christopher Seabrooke, and EPI Products. Directed by Stoneham Theatre's Associate Artistic Director Caitlin Lowans, with Ceit Zweil as Choreographer and Bethany Aiken as Musical Director, this show features 'The Trolley Song,' 'The Boy Next Door,' and, of course, 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.'

Boston, MA (For Release 11.06.14) – At the vanguard of Boston's classical music scene, Odyssey Opera and the Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP) present a co-production of the comedic, family opera Fantastic Mr. Fox. For one performance only, Fantastic Mr. Fox unites Odyssey Opera (a new, Boston-based opera company dedicated to exploring the full spectrum of adventurous repertoire), BMOP (the nation's premier orchestra dedicated exclusively to commissioning, performing, and recording new orchestral music), the Boston Children's Chorus, and some of today's top vocal performers including baritone John Brancy and mezzo-soprano Krista River. Carousel Theatre for Young People (CTYP) presents a heartwarming new vision of Roald Dahl's timeless classic James and the Giant Peach, making its Vancouver premiere December 6, 2014 to January 4, 2015 at The Waterfront Theatre on Granville Island. Developed by Tony-nominated songwriters Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, the whimsical tale follows James Trotter who is swept away on an extraordinary journey with an unlikely contingent of insect friends.

Roald Dahl's enduringly popular children's book, The BFG, will be brought to life in a brand new staging at Birmingham Repertory Theatre this Christmas. A well-loved story of a dream-blowing, big friendly giant and little orphan Sophie in a land of child-eating giants, The BFG, will open at The REP from 26 November 2014 to 24 January 2015.
