Following her opening run at Broadway's newest venue, 54 BELOW presents an encore week of Patti LuPone's cabaret act - FAR AWAY PLACES which will play seven additional performances from Tuesday, June 19 through Saturday, June 23. There will be a special late night performance on Thursday, June 21 at 11:00 p.m. This two-time Tony Award winner, backed by a five-piece band, has thrilled 54 BELOW audiences for the past two weeks.

Yesterday, June 5, theatre legend Patti Lupone opened the new nightclub and restaurant, 54 Below, with a two-week engagement of a new act that will run through June 16. LuPone will play the venue Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8pm and Fridays and Saturdays at 11pm. Forbidden Broadway, New York's longest running musical comedy revue, opens January 27 at the Cosmopolitan Cabaret for a limited 8-week engagement through March 14.

California Musical Theatre Executive Producer Richard Lewis has announced the line-up of shows for the 2012 summer season of Sacramento Music Circus at the Wells Fargo Pavilion. The five-show season will include the Music Circus premiere of Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID and the return of four musical theatre classics that are consistently among the most requested shows by Music Circus patrons, GREASE, THE MUSIC MAN, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and CRAZY FOR YOU.

Mustard Seed Theatre continues their season with playwright Athol Fugard's PLAYLAND, and the location of the play affords the company a chance to be very creative with the set design (Courtney Sanazaro). But, this is a dark, although it brightens just as the sun rises, tale of border wars and Apartheid, all wrapped up rather neatly in a pretty package by sterling performances and compelling direction.

On Tuesday, February 7, the The Paley Center for Media celebrated the career of the legendary Jerry Lewis, and the release of the 1959 television production of 'The Jazz Singer,' starring Lewis and being released on DVD on February 7 by Inception Media Group.
