The Library of Congress has today announced its annual list of 25 films that will be included in the National Film Registry.

Announced today, BBC AMERICA earned three Golden Globe(R) nominations for Orphan Black, Luther and Burton and Taylor. BBC AMERICA tied with AMC for the most nominations for a basic cable network.

Penny Dreadful Theatre will present a brand new show about love, death and science; the world premiere and national tour of HOW TO BE IMMORTAL, by Mira Dovreni. Directed by Kirsty Housley, created with the cast: Clare Perkins, Anna-Helena McLean and John McKeever, and with scientists Gareth Ackland (UCL), Anna Gutierrez-del-Arroyo (UCL), and Duncan Wilson (Manchester). The show is designed by Angela Simpson, and features lighting design by Matt Haskins, music and sound design by Barnaby Race, with animation artist Gemma Burditt.

Today we are showcasing this week's Fathom movie theater presentation of one of the most celebrated comedies of the 21st century as recently captured live onstage in the West End, Noel Coward's PRIVATE LIVES, starring Anna Chancellor and Toby Stephens.

Today in 1960, Camelot opened at the Majestic Theatre, where it ran for 873 performances. Camelot is a musical by Alan Jay Lerner (book and lyrics) and Frederick Loewe (music). It is based on the King Arthur legend as adapted from the T. H. White tetralogy novel The Once and Future King. The original 1960 production, directed by Moss Hart and orchestrated by Robert Russell Bennett and Philip J. Lang, won four Tony Awards and spawned several revivals, foreign productions and a 1967 film version.

Legendary leading lady Lea Salonga and rising musical theatre superstar Sierra Boggess have recorded two tracks for an upcoming charity compilation album to benefit Children In Need set for release in 2014 the composers confirmed with BroadwayWorld earlier today.

Recognized as one of the most fascinating, glamorous and tempestuous relationships of the 20th century, Burton and Taylor made their last stage appearance together in the critically reviled 1983 revival of Noel Coward's stage play, Private Lives. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), in partnership with British Council, has today announced the second edition of Brits To Watch: The Screenings on October 15 in New York and October 17 in Los Angeles.

Happy Birthday, Alfred Drake! He is best known for his leading roles in the original Broadway productions of Oklahoma!; Kiss Me, Kate; Kismet; and for playing Marshall Blackstone in the original production of Babes in Arms, (in which he sang the title song) and Hajj in Kismet, for which he received the Tony Award. His 1964 stage performance as Claudius in the Richard Burton Hamlet was filmed live on the stage of the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. His final stage appearance in a musical was in 1973 as Honore LaChaisse in Lerner and Loewe's Gigi. Two years later he starred in a revival of The Skin of Our Teeth.

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) celebrates the 200th anniversary of composer Richard Wagner's birth (May 22, 1813) with an unprecedented series of events this month. Beginning on Friday, Oct. 11, and running through Thursday, Oct. 24, CCM explores Wagner's iconic work and enduring legacy with a series of guest lectures, film screenings and a concert performance by the CCM Philharmonia. Aside from the Oct. 12 Philharmonia performance, these events are free and open to the general public.

JUNE REIMER SPRINGER, of New York City, died peacefully on September 27, 2013 in Chico, CA at the age of 85.
