Artistic Director Grant Gershon and President & CEO Jean Davidson announce the 2016-17 season of the Los Angeles Master Chorale (LAMC), one of the world's foremost professional choruses noted for its adventurous programming and artistic excellence, at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Under the artistic leadership of Gershon, the choir's 53rd season includes an ambitious blend of choral masterworks, engaging premieres, a cappella offerings and collaborations with some of today's leading artistic visionaries to create immersive musical experiences. The programming embraces the LA Master Chorale's distinguished history, while building upon its legacy of expanding the choral repertoire by commissioning new works and championing rising and established composers.

The Bach Choir of Bethlehem has announced its 2015/16 season, Bach At The Heart, which will culminate in the 109th Bethlehem Bach Festival in May 2016. In a milestone programming endeavor, The Bach Choir of Bethlehem will mount performances of four major choral works this season: in addition to the traditional performance of the B Minor Mass at the Bach Festival 2016, the Christmas Oratorio (Cantatas 1-3) will be performed in the Bach Choir's traditional Christmas concerts on December 12th & 13th,2015; the St. John Passion in its spring concert on March 20th,, and the Easter Oratorio at the Bach Festival on Friday evenings. The Bach Choir, Bach Festival Orchestra, and distinguished soloists perform under the direction of artistic director and conductor Greg Funfgeld, now in his 33rd season.

World & LA Premieres Set for LA Children's Chorus Spring Concerts in May

Children's voices raised in glorious song may just be the ultimate Mother's Day gift. The Los Angeles Children's Chorus (LACC), considered one of the world's preeminent children's choirs, presents the world premiere of Peter Knell's The Vowel Owl (Roger) set to John Hollander's poem, and the Los Angeles premiere of composer/sound engineer Mark Grey's The Plentiful Peach, based on a beloved Persian children's story with libretto by Niloufar Talebi, at its annual Spring Concert on Sunday, May 3, and Mother's Day, Sunday, May 10, 7 pm, at Pasadena Presbyterian Church. Both works were commissioned by LACC, which is noted for its key role in championing new works for treble choir. The program also features a vibrant mix of mostly American songs both contemporary and traditional, including Stephen Sametz's I Cannot Dance, O Lord; David Lang's i want to live; Kelley Lange's Llamame Cuando Puedas; Randall Thompson's antiphonal a capella work Pueri Hebraeorum; and the Korean folksong Nodle Kangbyon.

The famed Los Angeles Children's Chorus (LACC) Concert Choir, led by Artistic Director Anne Tomlinson, tours to Northern California to make its debut at Stanford University's newly opened Bing Concert Hall with a program entitled “Celebrating American Song,” featuring the world premiere of The Plentiful Peach by composer/sound engineer Mark Grey and librettist Niloufar Talebi, on Sunday, April 19, 2015.
