ABC News today announced the Democratic Debate will air Thursday, Sept. 12 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC and Univision. ABC News is partnering with Univision on the debate sanctioned by the Democratic National Committee at Texas Southern University's Health & PE Center in Houston.

Fulfilling a 25-year dream of becoming the cultural cornerstone and social forum for the entire west-side community of Austin, Catalyst Circle Rock Charter School will unveil both its new Kehrein Center for the Arts and Sistema Ravinia Auditorium, at 5618 W. For its spring engagement, The Joffrey Ballet presents Across the Pond, a mixed repertory program featuring the United Kingdom's most influential artists, with works that include two world premieres: HOME by Andrea Walker as well as Yonder Blue, a new piece by Andrew McNicol, set to a stunning collection of four short movements by composer Peter Gregson. The program also includes the Chicago premiere of Vespertine by The Royal Ballet Artist in Residence Liam Scarlett. Across the Pond is presented in ten performances only, April 24-May 5, 2019 at the Auditorium Theatre.

On Saturday, November 3, over 300 people gathered for the Auditorium Theatre's 2018 Annual Fall Gala, raising over $355,000 for the theatre's local, national, and international programming; community outreach efforts; and the continued restoration of the 129-year-old theatre. Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced today that the Community Development Commission voted to approve a $75 million rehabilitation of the long-vacant Uptown Theatre at 4816 N. Broadway.

One of the hottest tickets of past holiday seasons - Midsommer Flight's "pay-what-you-can" production of TWELFTH NIGHT, performed in the beautiful Show House Room of the Lincoln Park Conservatory - will return for its fourth year on November 29, 2018. Shakespeare's delightful comedy of mistaken identity and gender switching has a strictly limited seating among the lush flowers of the Show House Room.

See Chicago Dance (SCD), the dance industry's nonprofit marketing and advocacy organization, hosted its fourth Annual Gala September 25 at City Winery, 1200 W. Randolph Street. With nearly 250 people in attendance, the event celebrated Chicago's thriving dance community and honored two individuals who have been important to its success: Shirley Mordine, founder and artistic director of Mordine & Co. Dance Theater, and Angelique Power, president of the Field Foundation of Illinois.
