ABC News to Host the Democratic Debate on September 12 From Texas Southern University

ABC News today announced the Democratic Debate will air Thursday, Sept. 12 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC and Univision. ABC News is partnering with Univision on the debate sanctioned by the Democratic National Committee at Texas Southern University's Health & PE Center in Houston.

Fulfilling a 25-year dream of becoming the cultural cornerstone and social forum for the entire west-side community of Austin, Catalyst Circle Rock Charter School will unveil both its new Kehrein Center for the Arts and Sistema Ravinia Auditorium, at 5618 W. Washington Blvd., on Wednesday, May 22. Planning on the $4.5 million projects began in 2013, and ground was broken in April 2018.

For its spring engagement, The Joffrey Ballet presents Across the Pond, a mixed repertory program featuring the United Kingdom's most influential artists, with works that include two world premieres: HOME by Andrea Walker as well as Yonder Blue, a new piece by Andrew McNicol, set to a stunning collection of four short movements by composer Peter Gregson. The program also includes the Chicago premiere of Vespertine by The Royal Ballet Artist in Residence Liam Scarlett. Across the Pond is presented in ten performances only, April 24-May 5, 2019 at the Auditorium Theatre.

With nearly 250 people in attendance, the event celebrated Chicago's thriving dance community and honored two individuals who have been important to its success: Shirley Mordine, founder and artistic director of Mordine & Co. Dance Theater, and Angelique Power, president of the Field Foundation of Illinois.
