Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater presents The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield, directed by RJ Tolan. ENSEMBLE STUDIO THEATRE (EST) announces its 2019/2020 season. The season will commence in October 2019 with the world premiere of GEORGIA MERTCHING IS DEAD, a new play by Catya McMullen(Agnes) and directed by Giovanna Sardelli (Describe The Night), presented by EST's Youngblood (Graeme Gillis and RJ Tolan, Co-Artistic Directors) and Radio Drama Network (Melina Brown, President).

Coming to Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater in August is Vern Thiessen's dark comedy, Lenin's Embalmers. running August 9-31, with performances at 8:00 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Two preview performances, August 7 and 8, begin at 7:30 p.m. Opening night is August 9, at 8 p.m.

Playing On Air announced today the three winners of the inaugural James Stevenson Prize for comedic short plays. First Prize ($7,500, plus a Playing On Air recording for radio and podcast distribution) has been awarded to Hate Baby by Gracie Gardner. (Gardner is also the winner of the 2017 Relentless Award and author of the New York Times Critic's Pick Athena.) Second Prize ($2,000) has been awarded to Hedgehog Years by Lily Akerman. Third Prize ($1,000) has been awarded to Horse Latitudes (Who Wants to be an Equine Extra?) by Elizabeth Logun.

The season will commence in October 2018 with the world premiere of TRAVISVILLE a new play by William Jackson Harper ("The Good Place") and directed by Steve H. Broadnax III (The Hip-Hop Project). This marks the playwriting debut of Harper, who has been developing the piece with EST over the past 8 years.

Playing On Air announced today the names of the three celebrity guests joining sponsor Josie Merck on the jury for their inaugural James Stevenson Prize, which will award three monetary prizes for new short comedic plays that honor and perpetuate the spirit and wit of Mr. Stevenson.
