Long Wharf Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein and Managing Director Joshua Borenstein, presents the world premiere of Napoli, Brooklyn by Meghan Kennedy, directed by Edelstein. The production opens tonight, February 22, and will run on the Claire Tow Stage in the C. Newton Schenck Theatre through March 12, 2017. The world premiere was commissioned by, and is a co-production with, Roundabout Theatre Company, where it will play June 9 through September 3, 2017. Come find your role with the gold miners, stagecoach robbers, saloon mistresses, railroad barons, ladies packin' heat, and more! It's all part of an original play called SouthFork Confessions, set in the heart of 49er Gold Rush days! This musical offers both laughter and tears as it pays tribute to real and fictional characters seeking redemption in their amazing lives. Directed and co-written by theater veteran Chrissie Addison, the play features an original musical score designed by singer/songwriter Betsy Moore.

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers have added more dates to their 40th Anniversary Tour, produced by Live Nation. New concerts have been added in Seattle at Safeco Field on August 19 and at Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on August 17.

"Seasonably" priced tickets are available for Imagination Theater's 2017 show, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland for $12.  This is a $3 savings off the regular ticket price.  The show opens February 3 and runs through February 26.  Based on the classic story by Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is an encore of the original 2001 Elly Award-winning production written by Peter Wolfe and Sarah Wolfe.  The show is comprised of adults and children and is appropriate for the entire family.

After 17 years of producing more than 50 shows, the Imagination Theater Co-Founders, Peter Wolfe and Lanny Langston, are appointing a new Board of Directors which will assume its management role commencing in January, 2017.

Imagination Theater is changing its legal and administrative structure.  After 17 years of producing more than 50 shows, the Imagination Theater Co-Founders, Peter Wolfe and Lanny Langston, are appointing a new Board of Directors which will assume its management role commencing in January, 2017.   This new Board of Directors will annually elect new officers.  The Imagination Theater governing bylaws are in the final stages of being revised to reflect the new organizational structure and then be properly filed in order to maintain the theater's non-profit, public-benefit status. Peter and Lanny are stepping down from their roles as President and Chief Financial Officer. Imagination Theater's mission statement will remain in place.
