The music continues throughout the summer and autumn, with a host of big names heading for the stunning Edwardian landmark including Tony Christie, Toploader, The Animals, James Taylor Quartet, John Power, Space and Shakatak.

'So...through a strange series of unexpected events my sister Rebecca Timmons and I have somehow been allowed to have a theatre for a night....so rather than let it go to waste we thought we'd put on a concert!' notes local actor/singer Sarah Faix. 'We used to write our own shows and put them on in our basement as kids, and while we don't plan to revive any of our greatest hits of the 80's and 90's, we do promise that the evening will be at least as good and with higher production values!'

This past Sunday, London bid farewell to the triumphant athletes who gave it their all during the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Peter Karrie, best known for his portrayal of the title role in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, The Phantom of the Opera, lead the nationwide Bandstand Marathon with the Abergavenny Borough Band performing the Brit award-winning band Coldplay hit 'Viva La Vida'. As London bids farewell to the London 2012 Paralympic Games, a spectacular Closing Ceremony celebrating the achievements of the athletes will take place on on Sunday September 9th at the Olympic Stadium in Stratford, East London. Peter Karrie, best known for his portrayal of the title role in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, The Phantom of the Opera, will lead the nationwide Bandstand Marathon with Abergavenny Band before Grammy and Brit award-winning band Coldplay take stage in the ceremony named 'The Festival of Flame' that will see the official handover to the 2016 host city Rio de Janeiro. A cast of almost 2,000 will participate in this amazing event.

Peter Karrie represented the United Kingdom at the 33rd Annual Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, the world's largest annual indoor show, in Halifax, NS, Canada this past week. The event celebrated Her Majesty The Queen's Diamond Jubilee, commemorated the bicentennial of the War of 1812 and paid tribute to the loss of the RMS Titanic and the role Halifax played in the disaster in 1912. Karrie was joined joined by fellow Canadian and soprano, Brenna Conrad. Known as the world's most popular Phantom, Karrie has performed the role over 2,700 times around the world in Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera. See photos of Karrie performing below!
