The Globe is happy to announce that the Globe for All Tour will continue to bring shows to the community in 2018, with support provided by Theatre Forward's Advancing Strong Theatre grant program. Following the Globe engagement of Karen Zacarias's hilarious comedy directed by Edward Torres, Native Gardens will travel June 28 through July 1 to four of our community partner venues for free performances in South Bay, Lemon Grove, Otay Mesa, and Oceanside. Developed in the 2017 Powers New Voices Festival, it runs through June 24 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, and then hits the road!

The 2018 theater season opens at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater with This Is Our Youth, by Academy Award winner Kenneth Lonergan, directed by Katherine M. Carter and starring Michael Goldsmith, John Evans Reese and Ruby Wolf. Designers for This Is Our Youth are Edward Morris (Scenic Design), Caitlin Cisek (Costume Design), Conor Mulligan (Lighting Design), and Beth Lake (Sound Design). Performances are at 8:00 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays, June 1-22. Two preview performances, May 30 and 31, begin at 7:30 p.m.

Irene, once carefree and artistic but now a low-level corporate manager alarmed by the erosion of her family's financial security, imposes two measures to shore the family up.

Lantern Theater Company concludes its record-smashing 2017/18 season with the regional premiere of Don't Dress for Dinner by French playwright Marc Camoletti. Lantern Resident Director Kathryn MacMillan will direct a cast that includes some of Philadelphia's finest comedic actors: Chris Anthony, Jessica Bedford, Marc LeVasseur, Lee Minora, Karen Peakes, and William Zielinski. Playwrights Welcome, the nationwide free ticketing initiative created by Samuel French for Dramatists Guild of America members, is thrilled to announce that over 100 theaters have joined the program. These Participating Theaters, located in 26 states, have joined Playwrights Welcome to invest in the success and artistic health of our industry writers, and by extension, the vibrancy of the American theatre.

Rubicon Theatre presents a timely and trenchant production of Shakespeare's tragedy KING LEAR as the centerpiece of the company's 20th Anniversary Season. Directed by Co-Founder James O'Neil, the production features a 20-member cast led by acclaimed actor and company memberGeorge Ball, who has starred in previous Rubicon productions of All My Sons, Man of La Mancha, and Jacques Brel… (New York, L.A., and international companies of the latter).

Actors Rachel Botchan and Rachel Pickup are set to perform a reading of Michael Raver's stirring new play, Quiet Electricity as part of Emerging Artists Theatre's New Work Series on March 6th at Tada Theatre. Melissa Rain Anderson directs.

Yale Repertory Theatre (James Bundy, Artistic Director; Victoria Nolan, Managing Director) presents Father Comes Home From the Wars, Parts 1, 2 & 3 by Suzan-Lori Parks, directed by Liz Diamond, March 16-April 7, at the University Theatre (222 York Street). Opening Night is Thursday, March 22. Father Comes Home From the Wars, Parts 1, 2 & 3 is a co-production with San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater, where it will play April 25-May 20.

Michael Kahn today announces Shakespeare Theatre Company's 2018-2019 Season. With two world premieres from celebrated playwrights, a multiple Tony Award-winning presentation, a dynamic adaptation of a classic novel, two Shakespeare plays and a group of acclaimed directors and artists, it is an ambitious grand finale for STC Artistic Director Michael Kahn, who will retire from the company at the end of the Season.

Virginia Stage Company continues its 39th Season with a lighting quick, comical adaptation of the beloved detective novel, The Hound of the Baskervilles, produced in partnership with TheatreSquared. Three actors play more than 20 characters in this hilarious spoof of beastly proportions. Directed by Mark Shanahan, this production is "a sublimely funny adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's classic," which lovers of the Watson and Holmes duo will enjoy.

Circle Theatre kicks off its 37th season this January with a change in leadership. Bill Newberry, Co-Founder and Executive Director, retired at the end of December. Managing Director Tim Long is the new Executive Director and Matthew Gray will come on board mid-January as the Theatre's first Artistic Director.

Project: Theater will present a private reading of MAY DAY, by Ryan Krause, adapted from the F. Scott Fitzgerald novella of the same title. With Iliana Stein as director, MAY DAY will offer one presentation on Monday, November 20.

New York-based comedian, actor and writer Kalli Siringas (the Moth, Dixon Place) brings a new concert-play, Remember When You Cried Alone in Your Bed: A Mixtape, to the SoloCom Comedy Festival at the PIT Mainstage on Sunday, November 19th at 1pm.

The Shakespeare Project of Chicago announces the lineup for its 2017-18 Theatrical Reading Season, featuring two beloved Shakespearean comedies, one of his rarely seen tragedies and a work by Shakespeare's contemporary Thomas Middleton.

New Feet Productions presents ARDEN/EVERYWHERE, co-presented with Baruch Performing Arts Center (BPAC). This adaptation of Shakespeare's As You Like It is conceived and directed by Jessica Bauman.
