Nathan Lane to Join Tyne Daly and Terrence McNally for MOTHERS AND SONS Talkback, 4/23

The new Broadway play Mothers and Sons from 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, now playing at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), will hold a special talkback on Wednesday, April 23rd with Terrence McNally and Tyne Daly joined by fellow Tony Award winner Nathan Lane, who previously worked with McNally on Love! Valour! Compassion!; Bad Habits; Lips Together, Teeth Apart; Dedication or the Stuff of Dreams; and the film version of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. The new Broadway play Mothers and Sons from 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally has announced today that it will offer a series of post-show talkbacks in conjunction with the Huffington Post Gay Voices on four consecutive Wednesday evenings (4/9, 4/16, 4/23, 4/30) at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street). The new Broadway play Mothers and Sons from 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally will offer a one-night-only special ticket price of $30 for patrons under the age of 30 for the Friday, March 14th performance of the show at 8PM. Ticket quantities are limited and must be purchased in person at the Golden Theatre box office at 252 West 45th Street during normal box office hours. Limit one ticket per patron with a valid ID. This performance will be followed by a talkback hosted by Playbill's Blake Ross and NY1'sFrank DiLella, with a panel discussion to include Terrence McNally and members of the cast. (more...)

Obie and Drama Desk Award winner Frederick Weller and Tony® Award nominee Bobby Steggert will join Tony® and Emmy® Award winner Tyne Daly in the upcoming Broadway production of Terrence McNally's Mothers and Sons, it was announced today. Weller will portray Cal Porter opposite Daly's Katharine Gerard. Steggert, currently seen on Broadway in Big Fish, reprises the role of Will Ogden which he created in an earlier production of the play at Bucks County Playhouse. Mothers and Sons marks Mr. McNally's 20th Broadway show, and will be directed by Tony nominee Sheryl Kaller (Next Fall). It will play Broadway's John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street). Preview performances have been set to begin Sunday, February 23, 2014, and the opening night has been announced for Monday, March 24, 2014. Bucks County Playhouse has announced today that the Playhouse has selected Alexander Fraser and Robyn Goodman to assume the leadership roles of Producing Director and Executive Producer, respectively. They will be replacing outgoing Producing Director Jed Bernstein, who announced earlier this year he will be joining Lincoln Center For The Performing Arts as its next President. Fraser and Goodman will begin their duties at the Playhouse in January of 2014. (more...)

Producers Tom Kirdahy, Paula Wagner & Debbie Bisno, and Alan and Barbara Marks & Wade Turnbull announced today that Mothers and Sons, the new play by four-time Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally, is slated to open on Broadway in Spring, 2014. Tony and Emmy Award-winner Tyne Dalyis set to star in the production, with direction by Tony Award-nominee Sheryl Kaller. More information, including additional star casting and theater, will follow.
