World famous trumpet player Chris Botti will bring a night of jazz and harmony to The VETS in Providence on Wednesday, May 21st, 2014 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $38-$68; Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.TheVetsRI.com, (401)-421-ARTS (2787) or the PPAC/The VETS Box Office located at 220 Weybosset St., Providence. Box Office hours are Monday – Friday from 10A-5P; Saturday from 10A-2P. The VETS is located at One Avenue of the Arts. The VETS on-site Box Office is only open on show days.

The Target World Music and Dance Series at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts presents three distinctive performances in February. The month kicks off on Feb 7 at 7:30 pm with hip-hop powerhouse RENNIE HARRIS PUREMOVEMENT. World-renowned, 2013 Grammy Award-nominated LADYSMITH BLACK MAMBAZO follows on Feb 9 at 7:30 pm and Afro-Caribbean songstress MARIA DE BARROS brings a dance party to the Ordway on Feb 19 at 7:30 pm.

Grammy Award-nominated musician Nelson Gonzalez has joined the creative team of the upcoming Second Stage Theatre production of THE HAPPIEST SONG PLAYS LAST, written by 2012 Pulitzer Prize winner Quiara Alegria Hudes and directed by Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson. Mr. Gonzalez, who is widely considered the master of the Cuban Tres guitar, will oversee the production's musical elements and will lead a live band during performances.
