A rock 'n' roll queen returns for her crown in I WILL NOT GO GENTLY, a world premiere comedy written and performed by Jennifer Childs, running April 21 - May 15, 2016 from 1812 Productions. This play with music tells the story of fictional '80s rock icon Sierra Mist and the spirit of rebellion embodied in her music. Sierra has gone from top of the charts to middle aged obscurity, leaving behind a legion of fans for whom her songs were the anthems of their adolescence.

Carnegie Hall presents the pioneering Kronos Quartet in a program of new works, including two world premieres, on Saturday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Zankel Hall. Aleksandra Vrebalov's open-form piece, My Desert, My Rose, and Yotam Haber's South Africa-inspired break_break_break will receive their world premieres. The program also includes New York premieres of works by Nicole Lizee, N. Rajam, Wu Man, Karin Rehnqvist, Fode Lassana Diabate, and Albert Behar. A new arrangement by Jacob Garchik of 'Baba O'Reilly,' Pete Townshend's classic song for The Who, is also featured. Having played a sold out run in the fall of 2014, the acclaimed Irish/French singer/actress Camille O'Sullivan will return to New York's intimate Irish Arts Center with an eight-show residency from April 6-16. Camille's dramatic, original interpretations of songs by Jacques Brel, Nick Cave, Tom Waits, David Bowie, Arcade Fire and Radiohead, and love of narrative storytelling have critics around the world raving. La MaMa presents PYLADE -- a play by the late, celebrated Italian film director Pier Paolo Pasolini -- in its U.S. premiere 40 years after the author's murder. The production directed by Ivica Buljan, director of the Croatian National Theatre, begins performances beginning tonight, December 3 at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre (66 E. 4 St.) with the press opening set for December 6, it has been announced by Mia Yoo, La MaMa's Artistic Director.
