Three Day Hangover is thrilled to be bringing boozy Chekhov to New York City with Drunkle Vanya, adapted by Lori Wolter Hudson from Anton Chekhov's classic Uncle Vanya. The second full production of their 2014 Season, Drunkle Vanya will be staged at The Gin Mill, 442 Amsterdam Avenue (bet. West 81st and 82nd Streets) in NYC from today, September 4-18, 2014.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced casting for POCATELLO, the World Premiere of a new play by Obie, Drama Desk and Lortel awards winner Samuel D. Hunter (The Whale at PH, The Few, A Bright New Boise). Directed by Davis McCallum (The Whale at PH, The Few, London Wall, A Bright New Boise, Water by the Spoonful), the play will be the third production of the theater company's 2014/2015 Season.

Glenn Close, John Lithgow, Lindsay Duncan, Bob Balaban, Clare Higgins, and Martha Plimpton will star in a new Broadway production of Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance this fall at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street). The production, which will be directed by Pam MacKinnon, begins previews Monday, October 20 and plays an 18-week limited engagement through Sunday, February 22, 2015. Women's Project Theater today announced the appointment of Lisa McNulty to become the Off-Broadway theatre's new Producing Artistic Director. Ms. McNulty, who has been Artistic Line Producer at Manhattan Theatre Club since 2006, will assume her new position as of August 11, 2014.

Artistic Director Hal Brooks has announced that the 20th Season of the Cape Cod Theatre Project, featuring staged readings of new work by Cory Hinkle, Hamish Linklater, Seth Moore and the Lobbyists, and Alena Smith is now cast. Obie Winner and Tony Nominee Johanna Day will be joined by Girls star Michael Zegen and others.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Women's Project Theater is going through some major changes. A national search has begun for a new Artistic Director to lead the company for the coming 2014-15 season and beyond. The new Artistic Director will succeed Julie Crosby, who recently departed the company as Producing Artistic Director, a position she held since 2006. During her tenure, Ms. Crosby led and nurtured the institution immeasurably, producing more than 25 plays by women playwrights and directors, and championing the careers of its alumnae lab artists.

Women's Project Theater is going through some major changes. A recent blog by Howard Sherman indicates that Artistic Director Julie Crosby is now missing from the masthead and staff list on the theater's official website. According to Sherman, Crosby was not fired, but 'did not depart voluntarily.' Additionally, some other advisory board members have also resigned.
