LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & UPRIGHT CABARET are thrilled to announce the performers for their fourth fantastic UPRIGHT CABARET experience at the NEW Cabaret Lounge at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts. Yvette Cason, Von Smith and Katy Mixon will be performing their own selections while highlighting the music of Louis Armstrong, Elvis Presley and Prince, under the musical direction of Gerald Sternbach in a one-night-only concert - THE MIGHTY MISSISSIPPI on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 8PM.

Using the voices of four female singers representing various stages of Nina's life and rich artistic legacy of the music icon. Songs include 'I Love You Porgy', 'The Look of Love' and 'I put a Spell on You', among others.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mary J. Blige will channel famed jazz singer Nina Simone in Cynthia Mort's 'Nina,' biopic. Allegedly, the film will center around the singer's relationship with her assistant, Clifton Henderson. David Oyelowo is said to be filling that role.

The well known chanteuse Barb Jungr makes her Little Angel debut with a brand new production for children from three years up and their families. Little Angel's Artistic Director Peter Glanville directs. Puppet design is by Roger Lade, scene design by Anne Tilby and lighting design by David Duffy.
