The all-new Australian production of the American Broadway musical A CHORUS LINE will play at Sydney's Capitol Theatre for 21 performances only from 20 July, 2012.

Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee- Producing Artistic Director, Todd Schmidt-Managing Director) has announced the 2012-2013 season, featuring four musicals and one play. Paper Mill Playhouse will open its 2012-2013 season with one, singular sensation, A Chorus Line. Winner of nine Tony® Awards including "Best Musical," A Chorus Line continues to resonate with audiences of every generation. In November, Millburn is alive with The Sound of Music. Based on Maria von Trapp's inspiring true life story, The Sound of Music features an unforgettable score by Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein with such memorable songs as "My Favorite Things," "Do-Re-Mi," "Edelweiss," and "Climb Every Mountain."

For musical theaters "A Chorus Line" is pretty much the holy grail of musicals. Most people love it and it has some of the most iconic and recognizable songs and characters out there. But few theaters are brave enough to tackle it especially smaller regional or community theaters, and with good reason. You basically need an entire stage of ethnically diverse triple threats (amazing dancers, singers and actors) to pull it off. And while I don't think I saw any true triple threats at SMT's current production, I did see a few two and a halfs and a bunch of twos.

Aurora Theatre opens their 16th Sensational Season with A Chorus Line, winner of 9 Tony Awards, including 'Best Musical', the Pulitzer Prize for drama, and the longest-running American Broadway musical ever.

The ultimate 'Singular Sensation,' A Chorus Line, will dance its way onto the Civic Center Music Hall stage this summer. Thousands will audition, 24 get to the stage, but in the end only eight will get the opportunity to do what they've always wanted - to have the chance to dance. This is the story of the ones who make it and the ones who don't. Winner of nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Musical Score and Best Choreography, this show features the Broadway showstoppers such as 'I Hope I Get It,' 'At the Ballet,' 'What I Did for Love' and 'ONE.'

Point Park University's Conservatory Theatre Company will produce five works, including one world premiere, in the 2011-2012 season, which opens October 21, 2011 and runs through April 22, 2012 at the Pittsburgh Playhouse.

The original production of A CHORUS LINE grew out of workshops organized by director/choreographer Michael Bennett where dancers and performers discussed the various joys and hardships of a life spent pursuing the stage as an occupation. James Kirkwood, Jr. and Nicholas Dante pieced together these elements to form a compelling story focusing on the anxieties facing a group of dancers auditioning to be in the chorus of a Broadway show, while Marvin Hamlisch (music) and Edward Kleban put their tales to a catchy score that's still decidedly hummable. Stages St. Louis opens their 25th season with this timeless masterpiece, and it's a dazzling production filled with wonderful performances, nurtured by the excellent work of director Michael Hamilton and choreographer Kim Shriver, who neatly recreate the original magic.
