Gulf Coast Records announces a September 8 release date for Live at G. Bluey's Juke Joint NYC,  the label debut live double-CD set from New York City-based blues guitar slinger Popa Chubby's (aka “The Beast from the East”).

Vincent Neil Emerson releases his genre-blurring LP, The Golden Crystal Kingdom, produced by Shooter Jennings. The album is out now on La Honda Records/RCA Records. Emerson and his band are currently on the road with stops this weekend in Elkton, Maryland, New York City, and Philadelphia.

​​​​​​​The Al Hirschfeld Foundation continues its HIRSCHFELD'S MUSIC relationship with City Winery (25 11th Ave, NYC) on November 20 with a special live event featuring David Leopold, an exhibition of Hirschfeld artwork, and a new series of rock and pops star wine featuring labels by Hirschfeld.

It’s been over 40 years since The Legendary Downchild Blues Band have played the iconic El Mocambo in Toronto, so the band thought it would be fun to play the club one more time on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 8:00 pm with special guest Jeff Rogers.

Reverend Billy and the Stop Shopping Choir will perform 'Welcome to the Earthchxrch!' every Sunday in October at Earthchxrch on Loisaida Ave. The show combines activism, entertainment, and music to confront climate grief and inspire activism.

Symphony Space has announced that, for its fall 2023 music residency, which gives artists the opportunity to showcase new work and nurture emerging talent, the institution has joined forces with Black Opry, the rapidly growing organization created to provide a home for Black artists in country, Americana, blues, and folk music.

Lori Rayne has released her new single 'Woo Girls.' Lori has been seen on various Nashville stages, and is a proud member on the roster of the Black Opry, where she has performed alongside major stars like Alicia Keys.

Her previous single “Pretty Face” was a soulful pop-rock slow jam that turned a disappointing relationship into an amusing and irrepressible kiss-off showcasing Maya's delightfully pointed sense of humor and impressive guitar chops. Maya also made a memorable appearance on the 2022 collection Blue Note Re:imagined II.

Massey Hall will present Canada's favourite sing-a-long duo, Choir! Choir! Choir for the return to “their very favourite Toronto venue” on September 29, 2023.

Fans can also join the band for Playa Luna Presents Dead Ahead, an all-inclusive vacation experience in Riviera Cancún, Mexico on January 12-15, 2024. The event will celebrate the Grateful Dead songbook featuring two nights of curated collaborations themed “Dead Ahead” as well as one night of Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros featuring The Wolfpack and more.

The sold-out tapings included special performances by artists making their first appearance, and many who have become regulars in the show’s forty year history. Returning guests Steve Earle, Jason Isbell, Sam Bush, Elizabeth Cook, Sarah Lee Guthrie, Chris Pierce, and more.
