THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - has announced a concert from Sumayya Ali, featured in the original Broadway cast of Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812, Spike Lee's Red Hook Summer, and the Broadway revival of Porgy and Bess on Saturday, May 19 at 9:30 PM. Her show "Heavy is The Head" is a spellbinding evening in which she explores esoteric identity and purpose through her original compositions juxtaposing electronica, classical and rock/soul into some favorite Broadway, jazz and pop standards. She will be joined by Nathaniel Stampley (The Lion King, The Color Purple, Porgy and Bess) as a special musical guest.

Forty years ago, two visionary leaders - Isaiah Sheffer and Allan Miller- took over an abandoned Upper West Side theater for an all-day free marathon concert called Wall to Wall Bach.  This event founded Symphony Space, and every year since 1978, Symphony Space has been presenting free marathon Wall to Wall events, hailed by The New York Times as 'an annual gift to the city of New York.'  In its 40th anniversary year, Symphony Space's signature concert event celebrates the centennial of a cherished American composer: Leonard Bernstein.  This FREE marathon concert will honor Bernstein's legacy with music, dance, conversation, film clips, and more, exploring the many facets of his creative life (May 19th, 3pm-11pm, Peter Jay Sharp Theatre, 95th and Broadway).

Williamstown Theatre Festival (Mandy Greenfield, Artistic Director) has announced additional casting for the 2018 summer season, including Eden Espinosa, Samira Wiley, Krysta Rodriguez, Rachel Tucker, and many more.  It was also announced that two-time Tony Award® winner Chita Rivera will perform a one-night-only solo concert benefitting Williamstown Theatre Festival's New Play & Musical Development Initiative.

Carnegie Hall announced today that its one-night-only benefit concert performance of Leonard Bernstein's Candide on Wednesday, April 18 at 7:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage will feature Broadway starsRyan Silverman (Side Show, Cry-Baby,Chicago) as Maximilian and Bryonha Marie Parham (The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, AfterMidnight, Prince of Broadway) as Paquette. They join the previously announced Paul Appleby (Candide), Erin Morley (Cunegonde),Patricia Racette (Old Lady), William Burden(Governor), and John Lithgow (Voltaire / Dr. Pangloss).
