Bay Area Cabaret presents Broadway and rising jazz star Morgan James.

The York Theatre Company continues the Winter 2014 Musicals in Mufti Series Celebrating Sheldon Harnick with Dragons with Book, Lyrics and Music by Sheldon Harnick.

The York Theatre Company, and its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series, will present the premiere of two new musicals: Love in Our Language, with Book & Lyrics by Judy Goetz Sanger and Music by Howard Marren, and Swing Wings, with Book & Lyrics by William Schermerhorn and Music by Milton Delugg and Mary Ehlinger at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

The York Theatre Company has announced complete casting for the season opener of the Winter 2014 Musicals in Mufti Series Celebrating Sheldon Harnick: A World to Win, a new revue with Lyrics & Book by Sheldon Harnick and Music by Jerry Bock plus David Baker, Larry Hochman, Michel Legrand, Richard Rodgers and Mr. Harnick. Artist Morgan James will perform during 2014 Winter Jazzfest on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 7:45 p.m. at Zinc Bar in Greenwich Village. Guests will hear her smoky, soulful renditions of songs from her debut album with Epic Records, 'Morgan James Live: A Celebration of Nina Simone.' The CD offers a selection of songs that show off James' extraordinary voice and her exquisite gift for merging soul, jazz and R&B in a fresh and thrilling new way.

Bay Area Cabaret presents the one and only Broadway legend Chita Rivera in a unique solo concert event celebrating her 80th Birthday: CHITA: A LEGENDARY CELEBRATION. The nine-time Tony nominee, two-time Tony Award winner (Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink) and first Hispanic woman ever to receive the Kennedy Center Honor, will share perspectives and recreate signature moments from her legendary career.
