The 2010 Tony Award winning Best Musical Memphis partnered with the American Alliance for Theatre and Education to celebrate March as Theatre in Our Schools Month. In this video, Memphis' rockin' cast members sit down with their very own Bobby 'Big Love,' James Monroe Iglehart, as they share what stirred the music of their souls and inspired them to pursue a career in the theatre.

MEMPHIS, the 2010 Tony Award winner for Best Musical will be presented by the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts for two weeks, through March 25, as part of the Ordway's 2011-2012 Theater Season.

Broadway vet Adam Pascal appeared on 'New York Live' to talk about his current role as 'Huey Calhoun,' in the Tony Award-winning musical MEMPHIS as well as his other roles he has performed on Broadway.

Last night, March 12, Robert Redford hosted the first-ever New York benefit celebrating the Sundance Institute Theatre Program at The Bowery Hotel. Participants included Sundance Institute Theatre Program alumni Denis O'Hare (Performance of An Iliad, at New York Theatre Workshop), Lisa Peterson Scott Frankel, Jeanine Tesori, Georgi James and Christine Ebersole, who recreated 'Little Edie Beale' from Grey Gardens. The Smith Center's Opening Celebration will take place tonight at 7:00pm. ctor Neil Patrick Harris will host the celebration which will feature performances by Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson; country artists Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Emmylou Harris and Martina McBride; singer songwriter Carol King; trumpeter Arturo Sandoval; violinist Joshua Bell; gospel great Mavis Staples; Train lead singer Pat Monahan; and American Ballet Theater dancers Marcello Gomes and Luciana Paris.
