TEEV Events, producer of The Idan Raichel Project (concert) have confirmed the participations of three world-renowned guest artists that will make special appearances during both performances at Town Hall tonight, January 12 and the 13th. These artists are Palestinian- Israeli vocalist; Mira Awad, world- renowned Israeli multi-culti jazz artist; Amir Gwirtzman and acclaimed East African vocalist and songwriter; Somi.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is playing host to the US premiere of the Sibojama Theatre Company production of Songs of Migration, a jazz-infused tribute to the songs of late 19th century African migrants from all across the vast continent seeking new opportunities in South Africa. The Kennedy Center presents the exclusive U.S. premiere engagement of Sibojama Theatre's production of Songs of Migration from October 17-20, 2012 in the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater. A musical tribute to the great songs of migrants across the African continent, Songs of Migration is a musical celebration of South Africa's cries of joy, love, conflict, resistance, sorrow, exile, oppression, patriotism, victory, and freedom, compile by internationally acclaimed trumpeter, composer, and lyricist Hugh Masekela and written and directed by award-winning director James Ngcobo. Press night will take place on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. Songs of Migration is part of the etcetera! series.

Grammy-nominated a cappella super-group Sweet Honey In The Rock will make their Blue Note debut performing what they call their "most adventurous live presentation ever" in a tribute to legendary singers Nina Simone, Odetta, Miriam Makeba and Abby Lincoln from December 12 - 14. "Nina, Miriam, Odetta, and Abbey were all unquestionably inspirational and brilliant. Each, in their unique way, had the courage to use the power of music as a vehicle to promote change in very troubling times,' stated SHIR vocalist Carol Maillard.
