Witness Relocation presents Charles Mee's Daily Life Everlasting, directed and choreographed by Dan Safer, at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre tonight, April 2, through April 19, 2015.

Japan Society presents a staged reading of Getting Lost by Japanese playwright Shiro Maeda, directed by New York-based theater artist Dan Safer. As part of Japan Society's 60th Anniversary Performing Arts Season, Getting Lost marks the 10th installment of the Society's annual Play Reading Series of contemporary Japanese plays in English translation. The Play Reading Series reflects a continued commitment to introduce the wide range of contemporary Japanese plays to American audiences, seeding possibilities for development of American productions of Japanese plays. This event takes place tonight, Monday, March 31 at 7:30 PM at Japan Society (333 East 47th Street).

On Saturday, May 25 from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m., The Talking Band will host the event, 'Marcellus Shale: Looking Between the Layers, A Symposium on the Social, Economic, and Environmental Impacts of Fracking' at La MaMa (74A E. 4 St., NYC).

Ellie Covan, Founder & Artistic Director of Dixon Place, announced today that the NYC performance company ANIMALS will be awarded the First Annual Tom Murrin Performance Award on Friday, February 8th at 9pm at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street). The award has been created to honor and celebrate the life and work of Tom Murrin (aka the Alien Comic) by providing a transformative career opportunity to an emerging artist, selected by a distinguished panel of producers, artistic directors and artists.

La MaMa presents the World Premiere of YOU, MY MOTHER, a production by the Obie Award-winning performance group Two-Headed Calf. YOU, MY MOTHER is an opera project in two parts, created by composer Brendan Connelly and playwright Karinne Keithley Syers, Obie Award-winning composer Rick Burkhardt and playwright Kristen Kosmas, directed by Brooke O'Harra, with music performed by Yarn/Wire + Strings.

It would be absolutely ridiculous if you missed this run. Performances are Thursdays - Sundays at 7:30pm, along with Saturdays matinees at 2:30pm and an additional performance on Monday, February 20 at 7:30pm. SummerStage has announced the continuation of their first theater season with Five Days in March, written by Toshiki Okada, translated by Aya Ogawa and performed by Witness Relocation. This show is a part of SummerStage's summer-long FREE theater program and will take place on Monday, August 23 and Tuesday, August 24 at East River Park, Manhattan at 8:00 p.m.
