Theatre francais de Toronto opens its 2014-15 season with Past Perfect by Michel Tremblay. Directed by Diana Leblanc, winner of the 2014 Dora Mavor Moore Silver Ticket Award, this prequel to Albertine in Five Times recounts the genesis of Albertine's revolt, one of Tremblay's most fascinating and rebellious characters to date. While the original play depicts each of the five decades of her life from age 30 to 70, Past Perfectgives us Albertine at 20, on a night that will irrevocably determine her fate. Opening tonight, September 26, the play runs at the Berkeley Street Theatre from September 24 to October 5.

1980: the times, they were a-changin'. But in The Passion of Narcisse Mondoux, poor old Narcisse is being pushed as he reluctantly keeps up with the changing times. Narcisse Mondoux and his long-time crush, Laurencienne Robichaud, are on stage together in this charming Quebecois play at London's Grand Theatre. This delightful two-hander stars Rod Beattie as Narcisse and Brigit Wilson as Laurencienne. Beattie, of course, is well-known for playing many parts in the Wingfield series, and Wilson has been on stage in Stratford and Blyth.
