Capital Stage continues its 18th season with the fifth production of the 2022/23 Season: the California Premiere of THE HOMBRES.

Capital Stage embarks on new avenues of growth in hiring its first Development Manager, Kirk Blackinton, whose key role will be to build and maintain fundraising efforts, campaigns and relationships with the greater Sacramento community. Kirk Blackinton is a co-founder of Big Idea Theatre and has worked with Capital Stage since 2011 in various roles such as actor and director.

Capital Stage announces its 2020/21 Season. Capital Stage's 16th season will be the 5th season at the helm of Producing Artistic Director, Michael Stevenson.

Capital Stage has released the following statement regarding upcoming performances: The safety and health of our community is a top priority. Unfortunately at this time, and under advisory of several Health and Government Organizations, Capital Stage is cancelling all performances for the month of March. Performances will resume in April.

Capital Stage presents the Sacramento premiere of THE HUMANS by Stephen Karam. Michael Stevenson, at the helm of his fifth season as Capital Stage Producing Artistic Director, will direct this Tony Award winner for Best Play. The cast will feature local favorites Jamie Jones, Matt K. Miller, and Kristine David. Performances will run from October 16 through November 17, 2019, with a Press Opening on Saturday , October 19, 2019 at 8:00 pm.
