There's just one month left to vote for the 2018 BroadwayWorld San Antonio Awards, brought to you by BroadwayHD! Nominations were reader-submitted and now our readers are already setting records as they vote for their favorites. Regional productions, touring shows, and more are all included in the awards, honoring productions which opened between October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018. Our local editors set the categories, our readers submitted their nominees, and now you get to vote for your favorites! Voting will continue through December 31st, 2018.

Last December, with the 2018 Midterm elections on the horizon, New York-based Cabaret producer, performer, promoter, and former reviewer Stephen Hanks decided he needed to combine his passion for cabaret and politics and channel that energy into action on behalf of the Democratic and Progressive candidates running for the US Senate, the US Congress, and some state offices this November. To help him with his “Campaigning,” Hanks has recruited All-Star Casts of Cabaret performers who are equally passionate about motivating people to “Ride the Blue Wave” in 2018. On Hanks' Birthday, October 13, 7 pm, CABARET CAMPAIGNS: RIDE THE BLUE WAVE 2018! (with Michael Roberts, who wrote the Series theme song “The Great Blue Wave” as Musical Director) will feature the 4th All-Female Cast, featuring 2018 Two-Time MAC Award-Winner Natalie Douglas (representing Florida Governor Candidate Andrew Gillum).

The sixty-fourth edition of the Taormina FilmFest, produced by Videobank and taking place July 14-20 under the new artistic direction of Silvia Bizio and Gianvito Casadonte, has unveiled its full program with over 50 films, including 14 World Premieres, 12 European Premieres, and over 10 Italian premieres, including documentaries and shorts. The screenings will be held in the halls of the Palazzo dei Congressi, where Master Classes and In Conversations featuring special guests will also be hosted.

Their unrestrained energy, raw emotion, and commanding virtuosity have been described as 'impressive' and 'exhibiting outstanding skill' by well-established dance critics. Herencia Flamenca features explosive dancer Yolanda Arroyo and guitar virtuoso Paco Arroyo, along with some of Spain's hottest flamenco vocalists, and instrumentalists today, June 23 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at the Luckman Fine Arts Complex located at Cal State LA.

Great to see a comedy set amongst the dodgy types who frequent a 70s Brighton brilliantly conjured by set and costumes, but an overly episodic structure and predictable conclusion lets down what could be a super show.

Directed by Brad Rouse (Hit The Body Alarm) and choreographed by Sarah O'Gleby (Associate Choreographer, Disney's Frozen),GOLDSTEIN began performances on Monday, March 26 and officially opened on Thursday, April 5. At the time of closing, GOLDSTEIN will have played 10 previews and 52 regular performances.

From now through May 27, GOLDSTEIN will be offering buy-one-get-one tickets at the box office for patrons with the last name "Goldstein," - or patrons with a last name that includes a "Gold" or a "Stein" - with a photo ID. In lieu of a photo ID, they will happily accept a well-crafted, convincing argument.

Every family has their secrets. Whether they should be shared - especially in a musical is another story. But there are many moments that make Goldstein the musical worthy of hearing.

The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center is happy to announce the full line-up of its annual PEN World Voices International Play Festival. As part of the 2018 PEN World Voices Festival of International Literature, the International Play Festival will showcase play readings by ten voices from around the globe. With playwrights hailing from four different continents, the Festival aims to enrich awareness of global dialogues, by bridging American audiences and international theatre-makers. All readings will be followed by discussion with the playwrights and directors.

New York-based Cabaret producer, performer, promoter, and former reviewer (for Cabaret Scenes Magazine and BroadwayWorld.com) Stephen Hanks is in the midst of a serious love-hate relationship. He loves the art form of Cabaret and hates the dramatic rise of voter suppression and white supremacy in America during the current Republican Party rule of all three branches of the United States Government. So with the November 2018 Midterm elections on the horizon, Hanks has decided to combine the objects of his love and his hate and channel that energy into political action on behalf of the Democratic and Progressive candidates running for the US Senate, the House of Representatives, and perhaps some state governorships in November.
