Look back at The Phantom of the Opera on the anniversary of its first preview at the Majestic Theatre on Broadway!

Hillary Clinton took a trip to the Majestic Theatre to check out the iconic musical The Phantom of the Opera one final time before it closes its doors after 24 years. The politician and Broadway fan took to Instagram to share a photo of herself at the show.

JEAN LOUISA KELLY – the stage and screen star from the original Broadway cast of Into the Woods, and the movies Uncle Buck, Mr. Holland’s Opus, The Fantasticks, and Top Gun: Maverick – will make her New York concert debut at The Laurie Beechman Theatre on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 9:30 PM.

On December 6, there was a celebration of The American Theatre As Seen By Hirschfeld, the title of both the new book and the inaugural exhibition at The Museum of Broadway. The Al Hirschfeld foundation hosted a cocktail reception celebrating the new book at The Algonquin before offering a private tour of the new exhibition at the museum. Check out photos here!

As BroadwayWorld first reported in September, Broadway's longest-running show ever, The Phantom of the Opera, will soon take its final Broadway bow at the Majestic Theatre... but it will happen a bit later than originally announced.

Twenty one limited-edition prints of acclaimed caricature artist Al Hirschfeld – signed by the iconic stage and screen stars featured in the image – are being auctioned online to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the Al Hirschfeld Foundation, in partnership with Heritage Auctions, the largest collectibles auctioneer in the world.
