 Tony nominee SALLY MAYES ('She Loves Me') and award-winning JEFF HARNAR (Broadway World Cabaret Award) continue their run of DOUBLE TAKE at The Laurie Beechman Theatre.  At Wednesday night's performance the audience included LORETTA SWITT ('Mash'), RITA GARDNER ('The Fantasticks'), JOHN McDANIEL ('The Rosie O'Donnel Show'), MICHAEL ALDEN ('Pippin'), REX REED ('Myra Breckinridge'),and more.  The September performances conclude on Wednesday September 28 at 7pm at The Laurie Beechman Theatre followed by a special Cabaret Convention week matinee on Thursday October 20th at 2pm.  Music Director Alex Rybeck ('Grand Hotel') leads the trio featuring Bob Renino (bass) and Dan Gross (drums).  'A  swell evening of prime, solidly-anchored entertainment.  SALLY MAYES and JEFF HARNAR have created a show full of charm, schtick and creativity, not to mention a fresh song list and well-honed singing chops.  Their distinctive, individual voices work quite well as one.  In addition the show has been cannily crafted to make the most of what each can bring to the act.'  Marilyn Lester THEATRE PIZZAZZ

Junkyard Dog Productions announced today that the new musical COME FROM AWAY will begin performances on Broadway on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street) and officially open Sunday, March 12, 2017, following productions at Washington DC's Ford's Theatre (Friday, September 2 - Sunday, October 16, 2016) and Toronto's Royal Alexandra Theatre (Tuesday, November 15, 2016 - Sunday, January 8, 2017), and two special benefit concert performances in Gander, Newfoundland (Saturday, October 29, 2016).

Guests were treated to a live performance by Leslie which included 'Slow Burn' and the first performance of her new single 'Confidential,' featuring dancers Timothy Wilson and Anthony Alfaro. Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) will celebrate its 24th year as a not-for-profit service organization with its annual gala, the TRU Love Benefit. This year's theme is Making Our Gardens Grow, recognizing three people who are each helping to change the landscape of theater in highly individual ways. The 2015 TRU Spirit of Theater Award, given to a member of the producing community who has demonstrated exceptional generosity, support and kindness to others in the business, will be awarded to producer Patrick Blake (The 39 Steps, Bedlam Theatre's Hamlet/St. Joan, Play Dead, My Life Is a Musical, The Exonerated, In the Continuum), also the founder of Rhymes Over Beats, a game-changing new hip hop theater company; the TRU Humanitarian Award will be presented to Teresa Eyring on behalf of one of American theater's pre-eminent service organizations, Theatre Communications Group (TCG); and the TRU Entrepreneur Award, given for consistency, unique thinking and innovation, will be presented to Linda Amiel Burns for 38 years of The Singing Experience, a unique cabaret workshop that helps ordinary people blossom into singing 'stars.'

The new Broadway musical An American in Paris is now in previews and just opened last night, April 12, 2015 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street). An American In Paris is directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon. Inspired by the Academy-Award winning film, An American In Paris brings this classic tale to Broadway for the first time with music and lyrics by George Gershwinand Ira Gershwin and a book by Tony nominee and Pulitzer Prize finalist Craig Lucas.
