PBS today unveiled a list of America's 100 best-loved novels, chosen in support of THE GREAT AMERICAN READ, a new PBS series and multi-platform initiative that celebrates the joy of reading and the books we love. THE GREAT AMERICAN READ, hosted by television personality and journalist Meredith Vieira, launches with a two-hour episode today, May 22, 2018, at 8 p.m. on PBS stations and will introduce viewers to the full list of America's 100 favorite novels selected through a demographically representative national survey conducted by YouGov. The series will also feature interviews with celebrities, authors, superfans and everyday Americans discussing the way particular books have influenced them and their significance in American popular culture. Then, after a multi-platform initiative throughout the summer, which will include live public events, social media components and national reading clubs, the series will resume in the fall with several themed episodes, including an exciting finale, culminating in the first-ever national vote to choose 'America's Best-Loved Novel.' It will be the most expansive national celebration of books and reading aimed at engaging multi-generational readers across multiple platforms ever created.

10 Hairy Legs, the all male repertory dance company, dèbuts at Baryshnikov Arts Center for its sixth consecutive New York Season for four performances June 7 -10. The program features World Premieres by Bessie Award Nominee and company member Nicholas Sciscione, and Yin Yue. Works by Al Blackstone, Raja Feather Kelly and Christopher Williams complete the program. Sciscione will perform his solo work and Ofer Pelz his original composition at all performances. Tickets are $25 for Adults and $20 for Students and Groups of 10 or more through 10HL.org.

Today, PBS announced ROYAL WEDDING WATCH, premiering Monday-Thursday, May 14-17, 10:00-11:00 p.m. ET and Friday, May 18, 10:30-11:30 p.m. ET (check local listings), a five-part nightly series of special programs leading up to the live broadcast of the royal wedding on Saturday morning, May 19, on PBS. 

Today on Equal Pay Day, Mika Brzezinski, founder of “Know Your Value” and co-host of MSNBC's “Morning Joe,” announced a multi-platform partnership, in conjunction with Comcast NBCUniversal, with 2018 Olympic gold medalists Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson and Monique Lamoureux-Morando. The identical Lamoureux twins are the newest external contributors to join the 'Know Your Value' platform.

The evening features works performed in 10 states during the company's national tour in the fall and winter, including debuts at The Kravis Center in West Palm Beach and Dance Place in Washington, DC, and a Preview of a World Premiere by Yin Yue that will debut at the company's 2018 New York Season at Baryshnikov Arts Center. Disney Theatrical Productions and Frozen have partnered with The Actors Fund to celebrate International Women's Day with two special events: 'Women's Day on Broadway: Celebrating Stories By, For & About Women,' a free symposium that took place this week at The St. James Theatre and a special performance of Frozen to benefit The Actors Fund and its Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative.
