Here You Come Again: How Dolly Saved My Life in Twelve Easy Songs is a charming ode to Dolly Parton, playing through August 27th at Goodspeed Musicals’ Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, CT. Directed and choreographed by Gabriel Barre, the production is more than a jukebox piece, as it has a nicely delineated arc, though there is little suspense as to how the plot will turn out.

Goodspeed Musicals is presenting the new musical Here You Come Again, a musical celebration of the wit and humor of Dolly Parton, and the reopening of The Terris Theatre in Chester, Conn., this summer. 

“GORGINE” features Artists NATALIE JOY JOHNSON (Lempicka, Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde), JOEL WAGGONER (School of Rock, Be More Chill, Advent Carolndar), and MATTHEW RISCH (Saint X, How to Get Away With Murder, Tales of the City) as ‘Lover Boy.’

Last night, Chicago on Broadway celebrated 25 years of Razzle Dazzle on Broadway with a special celebration.

It was a Chorus Line reunion on the most recent episode of Signature Strong Live!

Pal Joey return to Broadway in 2008, almost seven decades after it originally premiered in 1940. This time, the beloved Rodgers and Hart musical starred Christian Hoff, Martha Plimpton and Stockard Channing. The Roundabout revival played 85 performances at Studio 54 and earned four Tony nominations that season.

I am often asked what my all time favorite Broadway musical is. I always reply A Chorus Line. I consider it to be a perfect musical in every way. The show's original director/choreographer Michael Bennett captured the heart and soul of the dancer so beautifully in what I consider to be his masterwork. Marvin Hamlisch's music and Edward Kleban's lyrics were and still are one of the most inventive theatre scores ever written. James Kirkwood and Nicholas Dante's book (based off of taped interviews of Broadway dancers conducted by Bennett) frame the songs to sheer perfection. Paul's monologue in the show is actually based on Dante's true story.

Do not miss this superb rendition of a classic musical.
