Diane Lane received the Outstanding Achievement in Cinema Award Nov. 1 at the 15th annual Savannah Film Festival, presented by the Savannah College of Art and Design.

The 2012 Savannah Film Festival added Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actor John Goodman ('The Artist'), former president and chairman of Marvel Comics Stan Lee ('Spider-Man'), Pulitzer Prize winning screenwriter David Lindsay-Abaire ('Rabbit Hole') and John Gatins ('Real Steel') to its list of honorees.

Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning actor John Goodman (Flight) will receive an Outstanding Achievement in Cinema Award and comic book legend, former President and Chairman of Marvel Comics Stan Lee (The Avengers) will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 15th Annual Savannah Film Festival, which will take place from October 27th to November 3th.

According to EW.com, Broadway favorite Daphne Rubin-Vega has joined SMASH's all-star cast for season two. Rubin-Vega will play a Broadway publicist on the show, which returns on NBC in 2013. Also joining the cast for season 2 are Jennifer Hudson, Sean Hayes, Jesse L. Martin, Krysta Rodriguez, Andy Mientus and Jeremy Jordan.

Opening night is sceduled for Friday, September 21st.

According to Deadline.com, distribution rights to Imogene, the dysfunctional comedy film starring Kirsten Wiig and Annette Bening and featuring GLEE and How to Succeed Broadway star Darren Criss, have been bought by Lionsgate. The film debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival last weekend.

OK101 Ltd, Fantawild Film Industry Investment Inc., Asia Entertainment Media Ltd., National Film Capital and Hyde Park International have greenlit director Kirk Wong's martial arts action thriller SIX, which was written by Li Feng ("Hero"), Eric Martinez ("Beyond the Mat") and Doug Brode. OK101, Fantawild, Asia Entertainment Media and National Film Capital are co-producing while Ashok Amritraj's Hyde Park International (HPI) will executive produce and handle worldwide sales, excluding Greater China.

Coming off a successful Cannes Film Market, Hyde Park International has announced a new executive structure with the hiring of Eric Christenson as President, overseeing the international division for Chairman and CEO Ashok Amritraj's Los Angeles-based operation.

The gritty, inspirational drama SUNLIGHT JR. will be unveiled to international buyers by Hyde Park International at this year's Marche du Film. Written and directed by the award-winning Laurie Collyer (SHERRYBABY) and starring Naomi Watts (J. Stephen Byrd and Alia Jones have announced that the role of 'Stella' will be played by two-time Tony Nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega and the role of 'Mitch' will be played by Wood Harris, in the upcoming Broadway production of A Streetcar Named Desire directed by Emily Mann. They will join Blair Underwood as 'Stanley' and Nicole Ari Parker as 'Blanche'. This production is slated to hit the boards, Spring, 2012. Theatre is TBA.
