The PATH Fund Inc. has announced the release of Purple Rain, featuring Tony Award-winner (The Color Purple) and current nominee (Trouble in Mind), LaChanze, the latest single from the new Rockers On Broadway: Live  (Volume 1), an album of the best live performances from Rockers On Broadway concerts over the past 28 years.

The cast ofIntroduced by composer Alan Menken, the cast performed 'Skid Row (Downtown),' 'Feed Me (Git It!),' 'Somewhere That's Green,' 'Dentist!,' and 'Suddenly Seymour.' The concert featured performances by Conrad Ricamora, Tammy Blanchard, Christian Borle, Aaron Arnell Harrington, Stuart Zagnit, Tatiana Lofton, Cristina Raé, and Khadija Sankoh.

The Off-Broadway revival of Alan Menken & Howard Ashman's LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS will paint the town green in honor of the musical's ruby red 40th anniversary. Beginning Thursday, April 28, and throughout the month of May, there will be various events, contests, special performances, and activations to celebrate the beloved, award-winning show's incredible legacy.

In addition to Brightman and Cerveris, the album includes songs from Paul Williams, Micky Dolenz, LaChanze, Christian Hoff, Alice Ripley, Constantine Maroulis, Emma Hunton, Donald Webber Jr., Morgan James, Michael Lanning, Donnie Kehr, and Isabelle Gottfried. When you first see Jesse JP Johnson (Wicked, Spongebob Squarepants, Glory Days,) you think you are about to get some forthright, crooning, suburban boy-band action. On February 2, the real Groundhog Day, original cast members from the musical reunited for Humans Of Punxsutawney, a one-night-only concert at Feinstein's/54 Below. The three time Tony Award nominated actor joins the lineup for the previously announced HUMANS OF PUNXSUTAWNEY: A GROUNDHOG DAY REUNION atFeinstein's/54 Below. He is joining original Broadway cast members who are reuniting for the first time since Groundhog Day The Musical's closing in September, for a one night only concert event.

Tom Judson, lately best known as musical director and accompanist to the legendary Charles Busch, will present Mostly From the Movies, a rare solo evening of cabaret at Pangea on Monday evening, May 8 at 7 PM.

Early on in Tori Scott's SEEING DOUBLE, the woman of the hour deadpanned, 'I've been in a rut since birth.' If that's the case, we should all be so lucky. But on the subject of things that could be going better, throughout Scott's performance at Joe's Pub on November 13, the unofficial theme of the night was, 'Could this year get any worse?' With the election still looming large, Scott took the stage, explaining she'd been looking forward to the show because she was in need of some attention, before adding, 'Then Tuesday happened and I needed group therapy.'
