Maria Todaro Appointed As Interim General Director of Florida Grand Opera

The Board of Directors of Florida Grand Opera has revealed that Maria Todaro will serve as Interim General Director and will helm the company throughout its 2023–24 Season.

An exciting story of faith indicated for people of all religions, APARECIDA, by Walcyr Carrasco, and direction by Fernanda Chamma, will open at Teatro Bradesco on March 22. The show has original music and musical direction by Carlos Bauzys, original lyrics by Ricardo Severo, scenography by Richard Luiz, costumes by Fabio Namatame, light design by Cesar de Ramires, sound design by Gabriel D'Angelo and production by MPCult. With a cast of 33 artists and 12 musicians, 20 original songs, dozens of costumes and grandiose scenarios were created to tell the story of Nossa Senhora Aparecida (Our Lady of the Apparition, the patroness saint of Brazil), one of the greatest symbols of Brazilians' faith, and whose sanctuary receives more than 17 million followers a year.

BAAD! - The Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance - begins its fall season with the BlakTinx Performance Series from October 5 through November 16, 2012.
