Broadway and operetta unite in the New York Philharmonic's concert performance of Leonard Bernstein's satirical, effervescent musical CANDIDE, slated for release online on Digital Theatre, Wednesday 4 June 2014. The show features music by Leonard Bernstein, book adapted from Voltaire by Hugh Wheeler, lyrics by Richard Wilbur, and additional lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, John Latouche, Lillian Hellman, Dorothy Parker and Leonard Bernstein.

Performances begin tonight for The Life of the Party - A Celebration of the Songs of Andrew Lippa, a spectacular evening with one of Broadway's most exciting composers and lyricists with David Babani, Artistic Director of the Chocolate Factory, directing alongside an Olivier Award winning creative team. Lynne Page - Choreography, Gareth Owen - Sound Design, Tim Lutkin - Lighting Design and Morgan Large - Set and Costume Design.

As if that weren't enough for them to sing in one afternoon, at SONDHEIM's request, the 12 finalists will also be singing the 12 new musical songs that are competing for The Stiles & Drewe Best New Song Prize.

The nominations for The Olivier Awards 2014 with MasterCard - the most prestigious event in the UK's theatrical calendar - were announced today (Monday, March 10) by Nigel Harman and Leigh Zimmerman with the full list of nominations available below and online at www.olivierawards.com.

London Theatre Workshop is delighted to announce that it will be opening the doors to a new, fully functional, 65 seat boutique theatre in the heart of Fulham, on 10 March, 2014.

Jason Carr will make his cabaret debut at The Pheasantry Chelsea (voted best cabaret venue in London), performing five nights from today, 28th January to 1st February, 8.15 to 9.30 PM, with Janie Dee late night on the same dates from 9.45 to approximately 11 PM.

The film will be screened only once on Monday, February 3rd at 7 PM at the Ware Center, 42 North Prince Street, Lancaster, PA. The film is being shown on the big screen at the Ware Center in high definition and high-fidelity surround sound. Also, the films which will make up the Winter/Spring Season of the Series will be announced at the top of the program. The list includes foreign, independent, animated and documentaries that are also Academy Award nominees & Festival Award Winners.
