On Wednesday, April 6, 2016, the National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) welcomed more than 250 of New York City's top cultural and community leaders, philanthropists, celebrities and art aficionados to the YoungArts New York Inaugural Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Temple of Dendur in the Sackler Wing. The sold-out evening raised nearly half a million dollars and celebrated the organization's 35 years of support and lasting impact on young talent in the cultural capital of New York and across the nation. Presented in collaboration with luxury brand Swarovski, the event was hosted by honorary co-chairs and YoungArts artistic advisors Mikhail Baryshnikov, Artistic Director of the Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC), and renowned opera singer Pla?cido Domingo, as well as gala co-chairs Sarah Arison and Agnes Gund.

A striking new promo for FOX's reality singing competition THE X FACTOR has been unveiled in promotion of the third season of the Simon Cowell-created series.

MOTOWN: THE MUSICAL, based on the life of legendary Motown founder Berry Gordy, will open on Broadway at The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46 Street) on April 14, 2013. Preview performances will begin March 11, 2013. Last night, the show held a launch event for the anticipated world premiere at Lunt Fontanne Theatre. The first season of THE X FACTOR came to a spectacular conclusion tonight as Melanie Amaro was crowned the winner during a sensational live two-hour season finale on FOX. Host Steve Jones revealed that after the votes were cast, Amaro had bested runner-up Josh Krajcik and second runner-up Chris Rene. Amaro, 19, who was mentored by Judge Simon Cowell, emerged as America's choice and capped her coronation on Thursday's finale by singing 'Listen.'

After a long journey, Josh Krajcik, Chris Rene, and Melanie Amaro have made it to the end, and one of them will have their dreams come true tonight! They all were amazing last night and it is obvious that the best and most deserving contestants are standing on stage tonight. It is so hard to decide who should be the champion, but it is all in the hands of America now. This is going to be a very close call! The votes are in and we will soon find out who has The X Factor!

Contestant Marcus Canty is the most recent performer to be eliminated from the Fox talent competition THE X FACTOR. The singer left the stage with a positive attitude.

On last night's episode of THE X FACTOR on Fox, another contestant was eliminated and the three finalists were named. Of all the weeks to go home, the week before the finale is arguably the hardest to be sent packing. In less than a week, one of them will be taking home the $5 million recording contract with Sony Music and a starring role in a Pepsi commercial.

Tonight is the night, everyone- the last results show before the finals! We are going to find out who our finalists are! There were some really great performances last night, but one more contestant must go home tonight. This huge decision is completely up to America and no one will be performing for their lives. Anything can happen! This is a night when the votes can really make or break the competition. Did America get it right? With only one week until the season finale of THE X FACTOR, auditions are already underway for the second season in 2012. According to the official web site, thexfactorusa.com, online auditions started today, (Thursday, Dec. 15) and will be open until December 31st at midnight.

It was make it or break it time at last night's semi-finals as Melanie Amaro, Marcus Canty, Josh Krajcik, and Chris Rene sang two songs each to secure a place in next week's season finale. The judges even made a few predictions of who would make it onto next week.

This is it, people- the semi-finals! We have come so far, there are just 3 episodes left! The top 4 will be competing live tonight for a place in the finale! The contestants will be singing two songs, one of them being the Pepsi Challenge Song, a song that America choses for them to sing. Tonight, they must be at their best, since they need to impress viewers more than ever. One person will be going home tomorrow and the judges have no say in this. The contestants' fates are completely in the hands of America. We are just one week away from crowning the winner of the X Factor!
