The Broadway Green Alliance has just launched a free, online Toolkit outlining sustainable resources for the theatre community as they plan for reopening.

The Broadway Green Alliance has announced two up-coming free GREEN QUARANTINE virtual seminars on November 19th and December 10th. The series of free virtual learning opportunities began in March 2020 as a way to channel the collective creative problem-solving, community building, and storytelling skills of the theatre community.

Today we rewind to 2015, when Dames at Sea was getting ready to arrive on Broadway. The musical opened on October 22 at the Helen Hayes Theatre, where it ran for 85 performances. Directed and choreographed by Randy Skinner, it starred John Bolton, Mara Davi, Danny Gardner, Eloise Kropp, Lesli Margherita, and Cary Tedder.

Eric Jordan Young (Seussical, Chicago) is a two-time BroadwayWorld Award winner and joins host Patrick Oliver Jones to go behind the scenes as the only Ragtime performer to have been in the original Broadway run (and National Tour) and also been cast in the 2009 revival.

 The original Broadway and London casts of The Drowsy Chaperone have reunited in song for a virtual fundraiser! The performers came together to sing 'As We Stumble Along (Reprise)'.

The Broadway Green Alliance has announced the launch of a new virtual learning program in light of the COVID-19 pandemic that has shutdown Broadway and closed theatres across the country. The BGA will host weekly virtual sessions covering a wide range of green topics, hosted by members of the theatre and environmental community.

At an SRO ceremony held at Zion Lutheran Church in Pittsfield, the Board of the Berkshire Theatre Critics Association (BTCA) presented the Berkshire Theatre Awards on the evening of Monday, November 11, 2019. Caruso's Cast Party with Billy Stritch, which is a New York City institution and sought after attraction at important cabaret venues nationwide wowed the audience at Mr. Finn's Cabaret at Barrington Stage Co. last night. Mr. (William) Finn himself was present for the always funny and sophisticated show biz banter that is the hallmark of any Cast Party when Caruso and Stritch bring their music and comedy to what is arguably the most famous 'Open Mic' in the entertainment world.

INTO THE WOODS opened on Broadway over 30 years ago. It has since been revived several times, adapted into a Disney Film, and presented by countless regional and community theatres as well as school groups. If you are thinking, "been there - done that" and there is no reason to see this presentation at BSC you are certainly not alone (no one is, after all) but I believe you are mistaken.
