MCC Theater broke ground today on its first permanent home, which will unite the company's diverse roster of programs under one roof for the first time in its three-decade history. MCC Artistic Directors Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, and William Cantler were joined by Executive Director Blake West, members of the Board of Directors, New York City's Department of Cultural Affairs Commissioner Tom Finkelpearl, and members of the Theater's extended community of theater artists. 2 BROKE GIRLS Star Beth Behrs Will Make NYC Stage Debut in MCC's 'A FUNNY THING...'

MCC THEATER has announced that Beth Behrs, the star of CBS's '2 Broke Girls,' will lead the cast of the world premiere of Halley Feiffer's comedy A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center of New York City. Behrs will be joined by Obie winner Lisa Emery, most recently seen on the hit Netflix drama 'Jessica Jones,' as well as stage veteran Jacqueline Sydney. Additional casting will be announced at a later date. Obie winner Trip Cullman directs the production which begins previews on May 19, 2016 ahead of a June 7, 2016 opening night. Pipeline Welcomes New Leadership, Sets 8th Season

Pipeline Theatre Company has announced the addition of Natalie Gershtein, Producing Director, to their leadership team. Gershtein joins Ari Schrier, who has served as the company's Artistic Director since 2012. In this newly created position, Gershtein will work collaboratively with Schrier to oversee the company's strategic and artistic growth, which includes the presentation of the New York premiere of Jason Craig and Dave Malloy's BEARDO in the 2016-2017 season.

MCC Theater announced today that it will break ground on its first permanent home on March 22, 2016. Set to open in 2018, the space will unite MCC's diverse roster of programs under one roof for the first time in the company's three-decade history. The new facility will also allow MCC to expand its programming and establish it as a cultural anchor within the Clinton neighborhood. One of New York's leading nonprofit Off-Broadway companies, the institution fosters the dynamic exchange of ideas between artists, audiences, and young people through its productions of world, American, and New York premiere plays and musicals, a robust playwright development initiative, and one of the nation's leading arts education programs.

Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis announces the Regional Premiere of HAND TO GOD opening June 16, 2016 on the Livia and Steve Russell Stage. This production runs through July 17, with Mark Routhier serving as director. Phoenix Theatre will produce the first U.S. production outside New York.
