Sadly, Marina Rebeka has withdrawn from performing the role of Leonora in tomorrow evening's performance of Il trovatore after testing positive for COVID-19. Rachel Willis-Sørensen will perform the role ahead of her scheduled run of performances in Il trovatore from 21 June – 2 July.
Mount Wilson Observatory to Present First Classical Concert of Season in June

Mount Wilson Observatory, the scientific marvel where humankind discovered its place in the universe, has announced the second date in its Sunday Afternoon Concerts in the Dome six-month series, to take place on Sunday, June 11, 2023. The concert series is curated by Artistic Director Cécilia Tsan, and the performances are presented inside the spectacular vaulted dome of the 100-inch telescope.

The Mesopotamian Opera Company presents its new production, The Italian Lesson, with words and music by melodic composer Peter Wing Healey. The opera is scored for piano, violin, cello and percussion, with conductors James Lent and Milos Veljkovic alternating at the piano.
The Atlanta Opera Announces Teams For 96-HOUR OPERA PROJECT, June 9-12

The Atlanta Opera has announced that five creative teams have been selected to participate in the second annual 96-Hour Opera Project, a composition competition and showcase that pairs composers and librettists to write ten-minute operas. Bringing their completed works to Atlanta, the teams will workshop and rehearse their productions over four days from June 9–12, with travel, housing, singers, pianists and rehearsal space provided.
