Two performances of three world music concertos will be held in New York City on Friday, March 18 at 8pm and Saturday, March 19 at 9pm at Symphony Space's Peter Jay Sharp Theatre, blending western classical music with folk music and featuring non-traditional instruments played by leading world musicians.

On Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at 7:30 PM, organist Nancianne Parrella is joined by Jorge Ávila (violin), Victoria Drake (harp) and Arthur Fiacco (cello) in a program of original works and transcriptions for various combinations of this unique instrumentation.

According to the Toronto Star, stage and screen star Jane Krakowski has been added to the line-up of Toronto's BlackCreek Music Festival. The event wil be held at Rexall Centre on the campus of York University on June 4.

Beginning on June 4, 2011, with Placido Domingo in concert, and with such renowned artists as James Taylor, Diana Krall, Tony Bennett, Helen Mirren, Jeremy Irons, James Earl Jones and the London Symphony Orchestra to follow, the new BlackCreek Summer Music Festival will launch its inaugural season at the Rexall Centre on the grounds of York University in Toronto.

New York Choral Society (NYCS) will perform Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle in the newly renovated Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center on February 25 at 8pm. The esteemed chorus performs under the baton of NYCS Music Director John Daly Goodwin, alongside soprano Joyce El-Khoury, mezzo-soprano Marjorie Dix, tenor Michele Angelini and bass Brian Kontes.
